Well, always felt that.
I've had that feeling over photos taken 2 days prior.
I can't tell if it's just some mild version of body-dysmorphia

I'd change that as : "Being an adult is mostly realizing you didn't look as bad as you thought you did because the only person that was concerned about that was you. Everyone else was doing their own thing focusing on themselves, just like they are now."
- I've always loved the word "sonder". Knowing that people have their own lives and thoughts and usually they aren't centered on you at all is liberating. I wish I had run across this as a kid, to realize that the peer pressure I thought was there giving me anxiety was totally self-inflicted and I could just be myself.

Nah, with age I become wiser and my look is more or less stable for the last 20 years. Just more white hair but that doesn't look bad.

  Partly! Some women explode out the gate with a little age on them. My ex-gf was pretty in her 30s, but in her late 40s would turn heads when she walked in the room. And then there are the plain Janes in high school that turn out OMFG years later.

100%. Also cleaning the kitchen. Always cleaning the kitchen.

  The key to a successful relationship is to have one partner that is sort of ok with doing the laundry and one partner that is sort of ok with doing the dishes.
- This is why I took a lot of time to make sure everything has a place without moving things out of the way.

Me when I look at my highschool id card. I thought I was hideous then. Now, on the other hand ..

The nice thing about not being naturally attractive is that as I get ilder and start to freak out about my physical health, I get better looking.
So for the most part I'm happy about always looking my best because dear god I'm gonna die at 40 if I don't start working on my health now.

- Reddit has subs for that but people are really not fair. Pretty people post pics of themselves and say they look awful. Yeah right.
- Honestly I just want some ideas for mixing up my style. I'm jealous of my wife and daughter for all of the fun dresses and jewelry and whatnot they can do but masculine outfits don't really allow for many options
  
  There is if you know where to look, but yeah, I feel you. I want to wear long flowy coats and such, but they're all cut at the goddamn hip.

I hated my hair but I sure do miss it.

I think guys usually look better when they get older. More charisma, confidence. Not all but quite a lot.
And I think the attraction level of genders change. Women are super attractive when they are 20, but its hard for them to stay attractive when they are 40. For men its the other way around... They look better at 40 than 20, and age better.
Of course just my opinion.

  Some people age well, others don't. IMO the ratio is about the same in any gender.
