  • Its pretty much exactly like command & conquer, but its modern, so fun to play.

  • All the assholes think its giving them a free pass now.

  • I bought the deluxe version only because that was the only version available on steam and I wanted to play now during easter holidays.

Its ok though. Game is cool.

  • Miss me yet?

  • I dont miss him but he was no threat to world peace at least.

  • I think we should discuss different scenarios without having evidence. Thats how several different theories form in the first place. And then people figure out what happened.

You are probably aware that a lot of events are explained a certain way in public, but actually occured a different way.

  • What the US always does, is have the cia/nsa blow something important up, then blame it on someone (China, in this case). All of a sudden the country is ready to go to war with China.

  • Peaceful protests until there is nobody left to protest.

  • Trump literally said he will just take over Greenland. The man is missing a few horses in the stable, so to speak.

But yeah, Europe should make their own websites, and more. But I think we need a mentally healthy us president on our side.

I thought Joe biden was annoying, being half senile and unable to coherently speak. But Trump is actually threatening world peace.

  • Go where no sane person has been before.

  • Of course, its just that the article wasnt discussing how to deal with the aftermath.

I remember it being a huge deal to figure out where the virus came from. But now people lost interest because they think its figured out. Maybe it is. I dont pretend to know what happened. Will never find out anyway.

  • Well at least he wasnt joking about the jews controlling Hollywood. I still remember Mel Gibssons career going down the toilet after that.

Tech billionaries dont have to care what he says since it doesnt have any real teeth.

  • Trump is crazy but I still think its possible it was a lab leak. But of course everyone here is 100% confident it wasnt, so no point trying to discuss it.

  • Kind of makes sense. Same mentality in China and Russia. And then we have Trump for the USA with similar mentality but hopefully temporary.

If not, Europe will be on its own against a world of insane so-called leaders.

  • No, unfortunately it doesnt. The scenes are more or less serious, so thats a bit sad, but its ok.

  • I bought it yesterday, its a modern command & conquer, worth buying if you like that sort of base building, resource gathering and massive fight kind of a game. :)

There hasnt been anything like it in decades so I like it a lot.

Soldiers in combat can kill without moral injury

I always like these articles that question the common mindset and teach us something.

Of course at the same time, my hope for humans goes down, but thats another story... :)

  • Stonks go up if profits exceed analyst expectations. The Ai stocks have pulled the entire market up the last year, even when ordinary people had much less money left and everything was much more expensive due to inflation.

I think probably it will continue to do that actually, since Ai is the new hype, and tons of startup companies are launching Ai products.

Most will fail of course but it still drives the profits for the cloud companies hosting the infra, or Nvidia and those who make the hardware.

  • Linkedin is seriously a frustrating place. People humble-bragging and virtue-signalling to their colleagues and future bosses makes me want to puke.

You have "certifications" where everyone who clicks through the material gets a certification. No effort required whatsoever. And these people act like they did something.

The American Age Is Over - by Jonathan V. Last

No matter what happens, I believe the author is correct. Europe will not trust the US in a long time. Trump actually has managed to destroy the image of America in the entire world, in a few months.

Elon Musk wants to save Western civilization from empathy

"The fundamental weakness of Western civilization is empathy, the empathy exploit,” Musk said. “There it’s they’re exploiting a bug in Western civilization, which is the empathy response.”

Probably a lot of us are tired of Musks ramblings but I just thought this is clearly showing why he is so dangerous.

I think Musk may be more of a psychopath than Donald Trump, who is more of a narcissist but hopefully not a full blown maniac.

Its a crazy world right now

Dont forget that nothing bad lasts forever, and previous generations went through wars and hardships too.

It certainly feels like madness is in control of the US, but its just greed and lust for power and attention. There is no difference between the undeveloped child that is taking the entire sandbox and these people. Some humans desire nothing more than to take from others until there is nothing left. Maybe its part of their spiritual evolution.

Perhaps there something to learn from their behavior. We get reminded of how not to be towards others. They are a very clear example of souls that feels much more primitive than the animals we have around us.

    This too shall pass. :)

This is not dystopian at all, is it? Humans sleeping in pods. I guess it beats homelessness but this seems like a fail on epical levels (unless profits for these pod companies are what we care about).

LG monitor asking about ad tracking preferences

    It. Is. Never. Enough.

You paid hundreds of dollars for a new monitor, but it doesn't matter. More ads, more profits.

    I hate it.

    Alien Romulus

I just watched alien romulus and I thought it was really frustrating. What happened to the lethal face huggers and the older, experienced crew of spaceships that got paid like shit by the company?

Now they are hitting face huggers left and right with sticks, and people just get up after having one over their face.

I didn't feel like I cared about the characters. They were actually quite unlikeable. I really miss Ripley. She had enormous amount of character, strength and intelligence. What did we get in this movie? They are all super generic.

Just disappointed. How about you guys?

    Kagi Snaps

This is not revolutionary but it saves some keystrokes when wanting to limit results to certain sites.

Personally I don't really limit anything with Kagi. It's usually just finding what I want without having to do anything.

How is the calories meter on exercise bikes accurate

The bike knows my height and weight and that's about it. From that it can calculate how my body burns calories?

Every body is very different, so I don't see how any calculation can be accurate.

This article describes the real reason behind the push back to the office. It's about rich people gambling on real estate and now office buildings are empty.

These same people own newspapers and media channels which is why their crying voices are being pushed.

Do remote workers actually work? Yes, but they also shop and shower

    My favorite quote:

While employees in the office might kill time messaging friends or flipping through TikTok, remote workers take advantage of being far from the watchful gaze of bosses to chip away at personal to-do lists or to goof off.

Nearly half of remote workers multitask on work calls or complete household chores like unloading the dishwasher or doing a load of laundry, according to the SurveyMonkey poll of 3,117 full-time workers in the U.S.

Oh noes, people actually doing things that are useful for their families instead of even more computer time.

It's insane that this is even considered strange or surprising. When I work from home, I take longer lunch breaks and I often stop working earlier, but I'm still three times as productive compared to sitting in an office.

At home, I actually get focused time to do something and think. At the office, this is extreamly difficult with all the distractions and noise constantly interrupting my train of thought.

My Job Is to Train Tesla's Cars to Drive Themselves

    Some quotes from the article:

There is something very strange about having this very intimate view into someone's life. It feels odd to see someone's daily drive, but it's also an important part of correcting and refining the program.

We review about five and a half to six hours of footage per day. It can be very hard to focus. You can get in this kind of fog when you're just watching clip after clip and it can be difficult to keep yourself sane.

Anytime you're not clicking around in the software program, it tracks you as if you aren't working and it basically sets off an alarm to your superiors.

These jobs sound very dystopian to me, and a bit psychopathic as well. All the movies I watched growing up about dystopian societies is reflected in what this guy says about his job.
