There is enough in the U.S. for this imagined world to be real. There is no justifiable reason why we shouldn't have it.

It's not enough to simply critique the billionaire-dominated hierarchy currently attacking us. We need to also give people a reason to imagine a better world, and to recognize that right now is precisely the time to make this better world real. At a bare minimum, we should assure that all of our fundamental needs are met without ever asking whether we 'deserve' to live.

Nope, before you're jumping the gun by accusing me of spreading Russian propaganda simply because the domain ends in .ru you should know that "The Insider" is a Russian opposition publication like Meduza. Shows a lot how you can't place absolute trust and adulation on any single platform and entity these days otherwise it might lead to this one day.

But even tho, I feel like I am predicting something crazy persons on Schizophrenia would constantly talk about, I rather feel calm and accept that the dystopia is not part of my life, because I have no issue isolating myself from the internet as a Linux user and just life offline with enough of fun and nature.

But I think the second reason why I dont go crazy, is because I have a good faith in the EU, to not allow explotation for profits like the US is doing or like China which is doing it for Socialism.

The dystopian fantasies are around Artificial Intelligence, and I see more and more restrictions around it in the EU which is a good thing.

While there are legit use of gen AI in various automation or more so in advanced text processing, apart from these in real world these are useless gimmick at best. Nobody wants to read AI novels (at least in current SOTA).

The perfect demand market for LLMs is ad business and marketing. Surely marketing strategists won't be replaced, but illustration, copy writing (for low interaction rate ads especially, like car ads. Very few people will buy the car with respect to how many see them), emotion analysis, marketing communication to consumers and spam botting; all will become much cheaper with gen AI.

Nowadays nobody with a thinking mind trusts ads, those are already filled with lies and deceptions. A hallucinating model won't be much of a trouble. Moreover less people will do mindless these mindless jobs and contribute to something more meaningful.

I woke at 3am to an alert (I forgot to silence my phone) that one of the models was on sale at a 27% discount from a 3rd party seller, and I groggily added to my cart. However, when added to my cart, the price jumped to 15% over MSRP. I removed and went back to the product page, refreshed, and saw the same discounted price.
