  • I'm on a laptop with no numpad so I figured a controller would be better but it proved to be a bit too slow for a roguelike tbh. Was too lazy to replay the tutorial to know the keyboard controls :p

  • Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup, a superb traditional roguelike (as in, similar to Rogue, an old game). I love its design so much~

    It also will release the new version soon! I'm very excited to participate in the tournament which is a part of the reason I try to avoid playing it right now. I don't want to burn out before the tournament even starts :p

  • Hello Charlotte is truly a special game series, it surely had a huge influence on me when I first played it. And I miss these characters so much!!!!!

    I just hope that it won't destroy me with its emotional moments.... or rather, that it will destroy me in the right way! I related to Charlotte and Vincent quite a lot back then~

    For Omori, I wish I could get it a proper chance - I did play it once but... things didn't work out, so to say. It wasn't the game's fault but I left with a bitter taste in my mouth and eventually lost my save file. Not sure if I should even give it a chance, it might absolutely annihilate me now lol.

  • I mean, if we could have as much content diversity as Reddit it would be great. But we don't. "More of everything else" will inevitably come at a cost of the quantity of political stuff.

    With that said, Lemmy has so much western politics that you won't even notice if a quarter of it would suddenly disappear.

  • It's funny how, with all the "but who'd think of children!", the actual kids don't really care much about violence and gore on their screens. It's more that when they grow up they become terrified of it. Maybe we need to make gory media strictly for 18 yo or younger :D

  • Same! Back in the day I could play Undertale's genocide route without feeling much but nowadays even just reading through a good ending of a romantic manga makes me all teary.

    And Hello Charlotte is one of the most honest pieces of media I've experienced. It's like the author lets you into her inner world for awhile, with all the trauma and pain she's been through hidden behind a thin veil of metaphors, using gore and pain to tell a story much more terrible than its components.
