  • You fap to YouTube?

  • shitpost

  • Hits all the hallmarks of a shitpost. πŸ‘Œ

  • Butter with the dog on em.

    You thought...

  • Just burn your worn clothes and buy new ones; the true fashion industry experience.

  • Go get bitches.

  • ...

  • Felt more shitposty without text.

  • The judgment from the mods should be enough for you. Their judgment very clearly makes it evident that they didn't remove it because it broke rules or wasn't a shitpost, but because people were spamming them.

  • It doesn't matter anymore, too large a handful of users here have too large a stick up their ass.

  • Nope. It was never about saying I was funny, it was about some peoples complete lack of understanding of what a shitpost even is and spamming false reports.
\ Why the hell do you think I used multiple examples from prominent shitposters.

  • "yUo cAn'T sHitPosT"

Ok Boomer https://lemmy.world/post/15893294 (trollishly poor quality, low effort, absurd, off-topic & irrelevance, deliberately provocative; Amusement, absurdist & mocking wordplay.)

  • That's not a shitpost, that's a basic meme that took effort to make and come up with.

^Actual shitpost, AI generated images with text slapped on it. Another example is the common "all Linux users are femboys" memes.

"aggressively, ironically, and trollishly poor quality... cause the biggest reaction with the least effort. ...internet mockery... ...absurd..."

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shitposting

My post that was unfairly removed was intentionally provocative (Oxford), and ironically, trollishly poor quality (Wikipedia), just as the example shitposts provided are.

    provocative β‰  inflammatory

Provocative : causing annoyance, anger, or another strong reaction, especially deliberately.
\ Inflammatory : deliberately arousing or intended to arouse angry or violent feelings.

    (Oxford)

Provocative in the context of shitpost essentially means deliberately causing a strong reaction usually via exaggeration for comedic effect.
\ While Inflammatory just means to deliberately insight violence.

    Another shitpost for example :

This meets : intentionally provocative (Oxford), and ironically, trollishly poor quality and absurd (Wikipedia).

  • The funny thing is, it had over 100 up votes and only a handful of down votes. People must have been spamming.

Using btrfs compression as a backing device for Zram

So, I'm sure some of you know. If configured, you can use a backing device for Zram for scenarios where Zram can't compress the data, e.g. when it's full. For this you can use pretty much any supported partition format, including btrfs, what I realized is that you can used btrfs disk compression on top of that. Question is, is this a good idea? πŸ˜… I imagine you'd want to use LZO-RLE or Zstd.
\ I'm really deep down the Zram rabbit hole, and I've been thinking about all kinds of scenarios.
\ Maybe a few of you are interested in joining me down this rabbit hole and can share some of your own experiments.
