YSK: You can post comments to Peertube videos as a Lemmy user

Here is a comment I posted on one of the videos of @[email protected]

    https://tilvids.com/w/h8BKcxxixYFE8RekmR5Ux3;threadId=29688

This is helpful as you don't need to create a Peertube account if you want to engage in the video's comment section.

However, you need to search the video in Lemmy before you can post your comment. I'm not yet sure why but my lemmy username is not (yet?) recognized in Peertube page:

  • Tried using on both. Same problem

    Unable to see new posts

I was browsing [email protected] without sign in, was able to see new posts, the moment I logged in, All I could see was posts older than 10 days in the same community ( tried sorting but no luck )

    Edit:

Changing the language in settings from "Undetermined" to "English" fixed it for me.

YSK: There's a history of animals being charged for criminal acts

Why YSK: Did you know that throughout history, there have been cases where animals were actually charged with criminal acts? It's pretty surprising, right? These stories give us a unique glimpse into how societies have dealt with the actions of animals and how the legal system has responded. By learning about these cases, we can see how our attitudes towards animals and ideas of justice have evolved over time.

    Hi Lemmyfolks,
I'm currently using the Jerboa client for Lemmy. I'm curious to know what other 3rd party clients people are using?

    A new direction, not bad.

I just finished watching Season 6. I was expecting the same realistic, grounded, futuristic stories as in previous seasons, but this time, the show took a more metaphoric approach. I liked the new flavor that Charlie Brooker added, but in that one episode it felt too fictional for Black Mirror (yes metaphorically it was spot on but still). I so wanna share my thoughts but being mindful of the spoilers as of now esp for the ones using mobile app lol.

But honestly I did enjoy. Full credits for the soundtracks choice. The majority were impeccable and blended soo nicely with the scenes. I've compiled a Spotify playlist of all the songs. I've also linked to a site that lists the songs episode by episode.

I hope you enjoy the season!

One Small step, a giant leap for Fediverse but...

Day 2 here, and I can see the growth already. Personally I really like the notion of how its gonna shape up in the future but at the same time I really feel for the average user as of now its too complex to understand the working and how the cross servers thing is working. I mean yes still early days, UI will improve further leading to a better UX but the core mechanism yet is little tough to get along. For instance, still unclear if I made the right choice by signing up on lemmydotworld why not lemmydotml , beehaw etc.... and where does this stop? like in the coming times i it would be like a thousands of servers lemmy.this lemmy.that lemmy.etc or anything.anything. That's soo confusing for someone who just wanna join a server. Would be interesting to see how "signup anywhere, its the same thing" evolves.
