  • I called my representative a few years back and his office said you should call your representative because they weren't it. That was Florida. The day Rubio and Voldemort get to meet the working class, will be a day their family says, oh shit, that's what I thought

  • By the looks of it, her being imprisoned is what might America stand up, or not. Most of Republicans are racist pieces of shit with no moral compass or compassion to the extent that it is guaranteed they all go tell hell if they are Christians for eternity, all to suck an orange mans cock for a few years. Talk about people hurt by being closeted.

  • It's also worth noting that we didn't buy any of the yellow from Spain though, we bought it from France, as France lost land in 1763, but gained a lot come around 1800 (Because of assisting the newly formed U.S. win their independence).

  • So from 1960-1990 (30 years) prices went from about 60 cents to 1.66 per pound for beef. That's that's a 270% increase. The median salary went from 5,600 to 29,900. That's a 533% increase.

From 1990-2020 (30 years, lucky we are skipping covids inflation) prices went from 1.66 to 3.18. that's 191% increase. Wages went from 29,000 in 1990 to 68,000 in 2020. That's 234% increase.

So what we see is a wage to consumer goods ratio decrease from 263% to 43%.

So our economic wealth as a country is managing to increase faster and faster, yet the consumer wealth fell off awhile ago. If you follow the stock market youd see the Dow Jones increased from 2,700 to 30,000 from 1990-2020. So comparably we should see a 1,100% increase, not a 43%.

Granted none of this matters at the end of the day. The fact is, we are producing a fuck ton of products, and fewer and fewer are reaping the rewards of such day after day.

If you evaluate accessibility of things after subtracting the baseline requirements to stay alive it gets real sketchy how close many Americans are getting by.

  • Inflation got watered down, what do you mean? It's just math for inflation. Capitalism uses inflation as a tool to expand the economy but at the end of the day by the definition listed on the post they are just saying if your wage doesn't increase faster than the inflation your life resources are in recession. That's at least how I read it. If you can't buy as much shit as you used to, you're doing worse. Which happens to individuals without happening to everyone, but if the average person can't buy as much shit as they could before, then it seems like recession is an adequate term.

  • There are Republicans who voted to impeach Trump and called him guilty previously, who are still in the Senate. It's definitely possible, I just dont see them doing it knowing it will make them become targets after the Senate doesn't remove him

  • They probably could get enough votes for impeachment, not enough in the Senate to remove him. So it would be career suicide for any Republican to vote to impeach him. As they know there would be retribution for fulfilling their oath.

  • Haha, I'm a doof for not realizing I spelled that wrong, though I must say a dog, or hot dog rather, is a sandwich. Although your original point was for the bread. So yeah I don't think I'd care for using a sliced hot dog as the outside of a Sandwich. I suppose if cutting bread out of your diet slicing a polish sausage down the middle and putting sourcrout and such might be decent, albeit very messy.

  • Yikes. I was confused about the greasy part as well but I didn't know I was supposed to break up with my partner for it. What if they bring begals because they thought the bread was for breakfast sandwiches? I am curious just how over tolerant I have been, lol

If it is common knowledge that shutting a garage door with a running ICE vehicle inside will kill you, why do you think so many people think 1 billion ICE vehicles aren't bad in the atmosphere?

    "But tires"

Ban all vehicles over 5000lbs to start without a specialized license and extremely heavy fees to have them. EVs are dropping in weight daily, ICE vehicles have been increasing in weight to dodge policies. One is a means to an end, the other is a means to profit.

Profit for few vs humanity's existance.. which should we choose?

How much water do you use in the average month?

Water Usage - My power/water company popped up showing my water usage from December 2023 vs 2024, it claims I used 24 gallons last year and 13 gallons this December. That can't be right... how much water do you use each month?

I fill water for chickens outside, water two small garden plots, obviously dishes, showers, toilet, bidet, and the washer machine should be using a lot more than that...

FDA Rewrites Rules of 'Healthy' Foods For First Time in 30 Years, do you think this will be beneficial for the populace?

The article seems to be shittily written in my opinion but I figure if you watch the video (about a minute) it will get the point across.

My question lies in, do you think this will benefit the health of the people moving forward, or do you fear it being weaponized to endorse or threaten companies to comply with the mention of Kennedy being tied to its future as mentioned in the end of the article

Does this burning at 200 j/g really mean it would be a lot safer or do you chalk this up to be company propaganda. Clearly it is a lot lower than gasoline, but since 600-900 proved to still be an issue, could this be enough to stabilize people's fears you think?

    App Server for phone apps

60 million apps keep getting pushed on us, and everyone wants their own... Every restaurant, gorcery store, etc.

Would it not be feasible to install all of those Kroger, Gas Stations, bloat, bloat, bloat apps on an app Server that we just have a remote access to them like a thin client from our phone in a singular app of shortcuts (look like a folder, directory) So all the apps stay installed and don't use resources on the phone. Which keeps storage requirements down on the local device and means when you go into another device you can just log in and have access to all the apps already signed in and how you left them.

Does anyone know if there is already such a setup?

It wouldn't work well with things like streaming services, but it could still cover a lot of day to day apps I don't really want to have to have on my device.
