Looks like the year of the linux desktop might happen afterall. Though differently than what most are expecting.
Yeah, if you can get your image to upload through the regular interface, it's fine. This is mainly for files that simply will not upload through the regular interface because Lemmy's built in uploader is terrible.
We do not restrict any communication to or from any instance. Only instance we block is threads.net due to huge privacy concerns. Any other federation issues are entirely done by other instances. We do not have any involvement or say in it.
I use NovelAI whenever I want to make a profile picture, banner or some other non-critical thing of that sort.
