Man, I really slept on Days Gone (mini review)
This game is amazing. I'm about halfway through i think, but I need to slow down. I've kind of been speed running the story progression just because its so fucking good, and as a result I dont think I'm powerful enough to move on to the 3rd map. I haven't even fought a horde yet because they scare the fuck out of me.
The characters are fantastic. Sam Witwer, who is an absolute underrated gem of a national treasure, in the role of the player character (Deacon St. John) is just brilliant. The mocap, face capture, and performance capture are so well done, you'll find yourself appreciating the facial animation a great deal especially. The NPCs are varied and feel alive, and frankly most of them piss me off, buncha tryhards and pieces of shit, lol. The dialogue is so good that I feel emotionally invested enough to legitimately hate a lot of these fucks (obligatory FKSKIZZO). Meanwhile there's other characters you care deeply about, like your bro that you ride with and your absent

Can you roll extra evade charges on things other than boots?
I can't reroll anything on my boots, so I'm hoping that I can roll for extra evade charges on something else like a helm or chest piece etc. Does anybody know if that's possible? I don't want to spend all the money and resources if it's not.

I'm not a big networking guy, so I'm not sure exactly the best way to ask this. My internet tends to drop out a lot, and I get disconnected. I'm wondering if there's an app out there that I can just put on on my laptop or phone and let it run in the background for like 24 hours to see exactly how many times my internet really gets disconnected during the day. I'd like to be able to contact my ISP and give actual information rather than guessing. Anyone know if such an app exists?

I've read articles that say they do, however, flawless skulls provide +12 Life on kill, but no matter how many you have on, if you look at your stats, it still just says "Life on kill +12".

Hey there. Looking for tips. I have a level 40 pulverize druey and just got to King Tyrant Brol. I just can't seem to get him. I even went back to Tier I to try, and it's the same every time, I use up all my potions before I'm half done with him, and then he gets me. I try to get out of his AoE when his circle pops up, and his adds aren't really a problem, I just consistently run out of potions and he doesn't seem to drop many. Any advice for me?

Is being able to sort the Explore Communities page by active user count on the radar at all for development, does anyone know?
On this page here, there are columns for:
Name--Subscribers--Users / month--Posts--Comments
When you hover the mouse over the column labels, it looks like you can click them to sort the page, but nothing happens when you click. It would be cool if you could sort by Users/month or Subscribers when looking for communities to subscribe to, both if you are looking for big communities or smaller ones. Does anyone know if that's something the devs are considering?

I thought that it would mean raising a skeleton from corpse, but apparently not, because consuming corpses is supposed to generate essence for me and it doesn't seem to do that.
Question about weapon damage...
I'm confused about the numbers on the weapon descriptions. Like this one below says 56-84 damage per hit, but when using it with a skill, it does the damage per hit that is associated with the skill instead (like 15 or something). Is the 56-84 damage per hit only if you are using it for a basic attack (meaning what... do people actually just not assign anything to the A button so that they can still do their basic attack?
And if these numbers are actually replaced by the damage numbers indicated on the skill, then does it matter if you ever upgrade the weapon, or will any weapon that works for the skill be fine?

User counts are not a good metric of actual growth for Lemmy
I'm seeing a lot of celebratory posts around in various communities regarding the explosive "growth" over the last couple days. Meanwhile, I'm seeing posts about the registration exploit, and how even just to test it out, the guy reporting it created tens of thousands of accounts on an instance in a matter of minutes. Instances are popping up with 10,000 "new users" and only 5 posts (I made those numbers up but they are representative of what's popping up all over the place). How many accounts got created in the last hour is seemingly no longer meaningful in terms of engagement.
