Since when is UEFI old? Wtf
Honestly... go to renaissance festivals and ask the performers if they need help. You'll get a (poorly) paying gig doing clowning-adjacent work that is seasonal.
Eh... I've been in the room while the operators of these plants overviewed infrared cameras which spot methane leaks very clearly. They take those emissions very seriously because in this particular instance - it's fuel and they are paying for it directly. It's not like on the production or transport side where leaks are just a fact of life and are overlooked because gasses are less valuable than the liquids.
The ethics of power production has an obvious gradient. These modern modular on site gas plants are way, way less shitty than most. Not as ethical as renewables but renewables can't achieve the sudden demand changes. The best would be for the damn nazi chatbot to just not exist.
edit: nazi fuckboy musk could actually afford the huge batteries necessary for making renewables work in this case. They're really expensive but he used to fucking champion that shit before he pulled off his mask and put on his armband.
To be fair, the emissions from those gas turbines are far less harmful than the pollution emitted by the refinery in the area. It's still going to contain NOx and of course CO2 and it objectively will add to the total pollutants in the area. But fighting gas generators is less fruitful than fighting against the nearby processing plant that dumps aromatic hydrocarbons (benzene, toluene, xylene - all chemicals that once they enter the human body have no real biological pathway to be broken down and removed... they just bounce around and fuck up things until they cause cancer).
I've worked around these new datacenter generators. One thing that they do really well is they have huge power storage capabilities because the datacenter draw can ramp up and down by tens of megawatts in less than a second. So they have to use a combination of batteries and flywheels to buffer the increase. This means they're far more efficient than even normal grid operations.
I'd still like to see much more solar, however. But it's a red state so the higher long term cost of burning fuels and maintenance of moving parts is worth it for owning the libs.
I guess the mummy's curse will be the patent trolls that keep greening the delivery mechanism to prevent generics from entering the pharmaceutical market.
That game was fun up until you get to the point where it is pay to win. I got about a week of enjoyment out of it then immediately deleted it from my phone once I hit that point. Glad it's dead.
It's a shame the media doesn't use the word defenestration.
I personally know people in red states who will suffer. They're in economically depressed areas and they are suffering life long injuries from performing skilled labor in a state that has no worker protections as a political choice.
All three of those problems are caused by republican policies to their own people.
I swear the GOP in charge must have all been promised a cool $B each to follow along with this. They know what is at stake here - the entire US hegemony is rapidly collapsing around us and our institutions built over hundreds of years are crumbling. But they'll personally get money and be a fieflord so that's fine I guess.
... and putting the cat in the dryer?! You're awful!
You know what they say about Romans with big feet....
It took a bit of work but it did make quite a lot of "tuna". Enough for an sushi entire party with 20 people from only half a melon.
They weren't rude or anything - just they couldn't bring themselves to eat it because it was too much like real tuna in appearance
It comes out and looks just like a raw tuna steak. Cut it into sashimi style slices and put on it on sushi rice with a small wipe of wasabi. If your watermelon was too sweet it'll come through in the end product. It's uncanny in the texture and flavor.
I made watermelon tuna sashimi for a meetup and most of the vegans were repulsed because it was so meaty.
Yeah if we treat billionaires like cash pinatas then we can solve quite a lot of scarcity in a short amount of time.
People love to whinge. Some of it is warranted but the internet has made it too easy to find readers so there's way more whinging than needed.
Ranchers that cant eat beef would have an identity crisis and quit
So who is going to breed these and seed them on cattle ranches?
Nature ummm... finds a way.
