Your school day (in high school) was not broken into several classes throughout the day?
Not one day, 1 class.
Lack of education. My class spent all of 1 class on WW2. I know because I spent time learning on my own.
The newer push was years before covid.
I was ready to eat it until then. God damn onion you're good.
I'll broaden it to not just social media, but the totality of endless scrolling social media, plus endless access to narcissist "influencers", plus addicting video games (inspired by gambling patterns), plus must watch addicting TV shows and movies on demand. A lot of this is endless dopamine machine. Add in both parents working and only children with no siblings is less socialization.
We really have reached a whole new level of impression.
I believe it. I think the much older push against standardized tests was so that "fancy" schools could pump up their grades. I never understood the newer push against standardized tests, you want them exactly so schools can't pump up their grades. Standardized tests create an actual level playing field.
This is stupid and I love it. Twice in one day, I'm straight up having a good time here.
This is stupid and I love it.
Do we want the baker's dozen insanity again‽ Complete insanity I tell you!
Only not in some 3rd world countries.
As the U.S.-China trade war heats up, businesses in major export hubs in southeastern China are announcing factory “holidays” – halting production and slashing employee wages and work hours – while turning to social commerce platforms to sell stockpiled goods, as they grapple with a sharp drop in overseas orders.
WC could be the initials of the person that fucked up and fed him twice, thus the second checkmark.
Fun fact: This is why landings are required at certain distances.
Is that "we fucked up" or "WC fucked up"? My Sherlock looking at the e in fucked suggests it's we.

Nadine faced charges for her role in the jailbreak. Nevertheless, their bond remained unbroken. When asked about her extraordinary actions, Nadine famously said, “I would do it all over again.”
Nadine Vaujour, after serving her sentence, largely disappeared from the public eye. Her life since her involvement in the prison break has been shrouded in mystery, with little information about her current whereabouts. Some reports suggest she sought to live a quieter, more private life, far removed from the notoriety that the helicopter escape had brought her. The lack of public appearances and media engagement indicates that she may have distanced herself from her past.
Wait that was him?
He also peaked as an admiral https://youtu.be/juaw2au7dho?t=3m54s
Exactly this. The right lives with a made up fantasy enemy to rail against.
People cognizant in the 1960's, 70's, 80's, or 90's, what was the perception of China?
Backwater? Growing power?
Is there audio AI that cleans up audio?
Like there's video AI to enhance video, but podcasts have so many bad connections with guests it's horrible to listen to. They need to run out through an audio AI.
(Don't even get me started on asking the President questions when the fucking helicopter is in the background. Who tf can hear anything?)
Honda CEO Insists Nissan CEO Must Resign For Merger To Go Ahead
The Honda-Nissan on-again, off-again, on-again merger is the international automotive saga that keeps on giving. Now there's another twist.
According to a report in the Financial Times, unnamed sources close to Honda said that the automaker would be willing to resume talks only if Nissan CEO Makoto Uchida stepped down and retired. Last Tuesday, the Financial Times reported Honda CEO Toshihiro Mibe’s relationship with Uchida had deteriorated after Honda’s boss finally understood the depth and breadth of the company’s financial mismanagement. Then, another twist.
My personal thought: Nissan's Board of Directors will boot him if they think this merger is crucial.
Japanese auto giants Honda and Nissan confirmed they've scrapped merger talks announced in December, ending a potential combination that would have created the world's third-largest automaker.

President Trump signed an executive order to declassify any remaining files from John F. Kennedy's assassination. JFK was shot by Lee Harvey Oswald in Dallas in 1963.
Mr. Trump is ordering the director of national intelligence and attorney general — neither official has been confirmed yet — to spend the next 15 days coming up with a plan to release the JFK files.
Mr. Trump's order also will declassify more records on the 1968 assassinations of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and former senator and attorney general Robert F. Kennedy. The DNI and attorney general will have 45 days to come up with plans to release the RFK and MLK files.
So the flurry of flying embers that were blowing around in California, is that common?
Like I know embers and sparks travel, but I never imagined this absolute flurry of embers
Examples:
How common are 80 to 100 mph winds in LA?
Just saw this video and it really showed me the craziness.

TIL that Jerry Springer was the mayor of Cincinnati 1977-1978
Springer was elected to the Cincinnati City Council in 1971.[16] On April 29, 1974, Springer resigned from the council after admitting to soliciting a prostitute.[16][22] He ran for the office in 1975, winning by a landslide.[23][24] He was reelected in 1977 and 1979.[25] Springer was considered a "gonzo" type politician with stunts such as staying a night in jail and commandeering a bus after the city took over bus service.[26] In 1977, Springer was chosen by the Cincinnati City Council to serve for one year as mayor.[16]

Costs of Louisiana Purchase vs Alaska Purchase
Louisiana Purchase was $15 million in 1803.
Alaska Purchase was $7.2 million in 1867.
Inflation puts $15 million in 1803 as being $19.6 million in 1867. So that puts Alaska purchase as 36.6% the price of Louisiana purchase. Honestly I can see why it was seen as a folly when the land couldn't really be settled, crops couldn't grow there, and the value was fur and fishing. (Though yes Louisiana as seen as a bargain).
What Is The Most 80s Movie Ever?

"I don't mean what is the best 80's movie, or the most popular 80's movie, but what is the movie that most encapsulates everything about the decade. I'm talking the aesthetics, the politics, the cultural trends, developments in the film industry, the music. I'm talking about a movie that could not exist in any other decade. Something that you could hand to someone who's never seen a movie and say this is the 1980s embodied in one film."

What is the typical sentence for Hunter Biden's Tax Evasion?
