Thank you
I use OnlyOffice and enjoy it. I do notice some fancy features missing but as I'm not a power user it doesn't bother me. I've opened OnlyOffice docx files in MS Office and vice versa many times with no issues ever. I've also installed MS fonts on my Linux distro and they work in OnlyOffice. I don't notice it pushing online features like somebody else said
You have the crop factor backwards. It'll increase the effective focal length. Multiply the crop factor by the focal length of the lens
Your car is spying on you (if it's new-ish)
Use Ublock Origin and be sure to select better filters, get her using Bitwarden the password manager, and use Quad9 DNS to block lots of bad websites and malware.
O&O Shutup is a nice Windows software to block lots of crap.
Not normal for me
Bring back the standard DIN design. Then we can all change out our head unit with something that has Garmin but doesn't affect the physical buttons on the dash below it.
That's terrible
Who's paying who 2.4M?
That looks like a pretty nifty OS. If I can't get the software working via Wine or something I'll definitely try this before Windows in a VM
Thank you. I'll be sure to that I have the libraries I need
Interesting. I use it on Linux and haven't had the issue of uninstallable games. I wish Playnite had a Linux client
I have previously used VirtualBox successfully. I am really trying to stay away from Windows if at all possible. If I absolutely had to I might run a VM with WinXP or Vista just for it
I totally get what you're saying. Luckily for me the program just runs formulas so I can figure out for instance what size plenum, what length runners, what size turbo, etc. I need. I'm not using it to flash a tune as my engine is too old for that fancy stuff
I'm getting Windows out of my life. I'll look into Wine again
Like running Windows in a VM with the program? I really don't want Windows in my life if possible

Professional Engine Tuning Software
I believe this may be a niche question but hopefully someone may have an answer.
Has anyone gotten PipeMax working on Linux? Or does anyone know of a Linux native alternative software for automotive engine design? I'd rather not purchase a software for $100 only to not be able to get it working. I am not very knowledgeable on how to get Windows programs working on Linux as I've tried using Bottles and Lutris for Zwift but was unable to get it working.
I tried Lutris first and it was okay but left something to be desired. I switched to Heroic and am in love with it. It works so well and the UI is great
You can absolutely learn on it. Start to get a hood understanding of ISO, shutter speed, and aperture. Practice composing scenes and learning how to edit
And DRM free stuff so when you purchase it and download it, you truly own it
Very reasonable, thank you

Help Finding MiniPC
Hi everyone, I'm looking for a mini PC with specific features.
I want a small case/computer that can:
- VESA mount to the back of a monitor
- Has a Kensington lock
- Can be powered via USB-C. (~ <65W from monitor)
I have found the System76 Meerkat which has all those features except for USB-C power. I can't find a model from MinisForum with a VESA mount but maybe I just missed it. I'd appreciate the help!
EDIT: I found a company called Geekom which has everything I'm looking for. Thanks for the help

Small Commercial Gym Software
Hi everyone.
I'm planning to open a small gym and am looking for management software. I don't want cloud services or a subscription fee. I use Linux in my personal life and would prefer to keep running that at the business. Does anyone have experience with this type of thing?
I plan to self host all my services and data if possible such as camera systems and maybe even the website (I found a great local website company I'll be talking with soon).

New Manjaro Linux Gaming Handheld from OrangePi

New Manjaro Linux Gaming Handheld from OrangePi
This is exciting! A gaming handheld from a great open source hardware company that makes SBCs like the RP5. It looks to have all the quality features and combines the best of all the handhelds I've seen. This has me really excited.
I am wondering though what gaming on Manjaro Linux is like if anyone knows. I've heard of Bazzite and Nobara as well as Chimera and HoloISO which are all focused around gaming. Does Manjaro ship with all the gaming features preinstalled?

Ublue Framework Laptop Question
Good morning everyone. I am looking to get a Framework 13 for my wife for basic computer tasks and use Kinoite. I have been a fan of the AMD APUs but don't necessarily need the GPU power for her use cases. I have just found out about Universal Blue and the Framework 13 Intel image that applies "recommended power settings" among other things. Does anyone have experience with this Ublue image and can compare it against the FL13 AMD experience?

My List of Open Source & Privacy Oriented Android Software
I hope that my list of apps will help out people, particularly those new to this world of privacy. These apps fit into the categories that people typically look for or should have and they are all at least fairly recently updated.
Notes
- Required repositories for these apps: F-Droid, DivestOS Official, Guardian Project Official Releases, IzzyOnDroid, Fedilab Apps, FUTO, Molly F-Droid Repo, NewPipe upstream (preferred)
- Simple Mobile Tools has been sold to ZipoApps and thus not worth downloading anymore. FossifyOrg is the "official" fork now and will be releasing their version

VPN on Router Issue
I've used a VPN on individual devices for some time now. Every once in a while I come across a website that says it's blocking my access because of my IP address. I then change to another server until one isn't flagged anymore. The problem is there isn't one server that's free from this issue.
I am now going to add a VPN to my router to cover my whole network. Is there an easy way to fix this issue from my router? Like a way to cycle IPs automatically? I suppose if worse cones to worse I could activate a client side VPN again to overwrite my IP. My new router is a GL.iNet Flint 2.

Michael Bazzell's Irish Exit
He just posted this update today. I hope the best for his next chapter.
"I would never say the podcast will not return, as I get bored easily. I will say that it is on an indefinite "hiatus”."

Jellyfin on Roku TV?
I'm interested in using Jellyfin. I learned that you can install the Jellyfin "channel" on any Roku device to stream to it. I have a TCL Roku TV and when I search for Jellyfin nothing appears. Also when I follow the link from Jellyfin's website to Roku's website it redirects to the main channel page and when I search for it there it doesn't appear.
Is Jellyfin still available on Roku? I can't find anything online indicating that it shouldn't be.

Silent Tactile Early Bump
Hi everyone. I currently use Zeal Zilent V2 67g switches and really enjoy them. I like how quiet they are and like that the bump/resistance is immediate.
I'm looking to try other switches still that are similar but don't know enough. Does anyone know of other switches that fit my criteria? How are the keychron Banana's? Are there any low profile switches like this? I absolutely do not like MX Brown's as well.

How Much Spying do We as a Society Wish to Allow?

Almost everything based in technology spies on everyone now a days and most people are alright with it. I don't understand why people are okay knowing this spying exists. Louis Rossman does a great job here showing us the disgusting tactics used by big corporations to gaslight people into believing them over what these companies are really nefariously up to.

Amount of RJ45 Ports on Home Server?
I'm in the process of designing a home server and am curious how many ethernet ports are required at minimum and how many people recommend. The single board computer (SBC) I plan to use has two built in and has a pcie slot to add four more if necessary. If I don't need the four extra I'd like to use the pcie slot for a pcie Coral Edge TPU (preferred over the USB variant but still an option).
I expect to plan to use the server to connect to my home network so any device on the network via WiFi can access NextCloud. Besides that I want to use Frigate in another container for home video surveillance. I don't know if I can or want to yet also add a Plex or Jellyfin instance to then connect to my TV or use a separate SBC for that.
What are your thoughts? I'm new to all of these things and just don't want to waste money on the wrong hardware. Thanks!

Resin Printer Not From China?
Hi everyone. I'm looking into my first 3D printer and would like a resin one for the great detail it can produce. I'm looking for companies that make respected machines that aren't out of China. I know of Prusa but their resin printer is incredibly expensive for me and a beginner.
As a second note, I would love to support a USA company as a first choice if available and like the software and firmware to be open source. I'm happy to have found PrusaSlicer with UVtools so there's one less Chinese/semi proprietary/subscription based software.

I can't wait to finally be able to purchase a high end hub that's also incredibly quiet but not heavy either.
