Well I love Mint, but nothing is stopping you from experimenting with other distros, now and then I try a couple new distros to see if there is anything that fits me better, but I personally keep coming back to mint. Nothing wrong with sticking with something that works, mint is really intuitive in my opinion, why it just works for me

This is going to be controversial but there were slight benefits that have been gained by Russia by this war, they basically identified all the areas in the military that were corrupt and lazy, remember in the beginning how unprepared the Russian forces were, they have basically fully transitioned into full war manufacturing, they now have the most experience fighting force in the latest modern war next to Ukraine. They also have basically almost empty prisons, almost every poor desperate persons would have taken the huge pay day and maybe also ended up dead, so a lot of societal "undesirables" were eliminated. Also basically any opponents of Putin could be eliminated by basically blaming Ukraine or blaming the individual for being a secret Ukrainian supporter or against the state

Agreed, for Ukraine it is not a pointless war, it is a war for survival and self, but in my opinion for the average russian it was a pointless war to stroke a colonialist dictators ego. Ukraine never posed a threat and if NATO expansion next to the Russian border was Putin's motive that backfired with Finland joining NATO.

Basically also dealing with intersex individuals as well in one foul swoop. I look at the handling of our country's athlete Caster Semenya, born as a female, with the matching genitalia, but her ovaries inside were basically testes producing testosterone instead of estrogen, and it came out where they did chromosome test, where she only then found out. They did a "study" to look at the influence of testosterone and athlete performance. They never tested her form of sport, running, so some of the examples in the study found little correlation and some high correlation, for example hammer throwing had a high correlation with increased testosterone with increased performance. But they never tested running. Yet they used this study to enforce testosterone levels on her running events, but excluded it from events that the study did show correlation, like hammer throwing. So basically they pulled a fast one. So my opinion is that the olympic federation has had a history before Trump or the current culture war has taken root.

It is a very difficult topic, the whole part where certain hormones do increase performance in certain sports and could harm you in other sports. Certain individuals will have a biological advantage over others, why we started protecting individuals you have not won the biological lottery, think putting men and women running events, yet maybe you would think twice separating them in a chess event (not sure if they do this), or even boxers having lightweight for smaller people and heavyweight for those gifted by giants blood. So I believe sport should be as inclusive as can be, but I think we cannot be fully inclusive of everyone in the same category, since we will have 2m and 120kg plus boxers being the only people competing in boxing for example, missing out on all the other amazing people, thus not being inclusive. So it is a hard question. I have always wondered why maybe there are only multiple categories for weight but only two sexes/genders. Heck we even have categories for people who are disabled or less able, like our infamous Oscar Pretorius that even broke through his Paralympic category into full Olympics.

There are a great deal of discussions we still need to have, I do not have all the answers, nor are my ideas written here complete or correct. Thanks for reading my rant
