  • Na czym polega ta manipulacja? Wydaje mi się, że gdyby mówić wprost, to by już nie brzmiało tak sensacyjnie. Ta trans osoba nie jest atakowana za bycie trans nawet jeśli finalnie zostało to użyte przeciwko niej, a za to, że próbowała kogoś zdoxować.

  • To wygląda na złośliwy deadnaming osoby, która doxowała autora archive.today. To kwestie personalne, które nie dotyczą 99.99% użytkowników. Sprzedawanie tego jako bliżej nieokreślone manipulowanie treściami jest robione w tak samo złej wierze.

  • Tenże ziomek próbował doxować ziomka, który robi archive.today więc ten w odwecie go DDoSuje - tego nie kwestionuję. Kwestionuję oskarżenia o manipulację zarchiwizowanych treści. Tego nie widzę (poza find&replace imiona DDoSowanej osoby), więc nie mam problemu z tym, że do tego DDoSu się dołączam archiwizując rzeczy.

  • Czy ktoś widział rzeczywiste przypadki czegoś takiego? Mam wrażenie, że zabobon o tym, że archive.today zmienia treści wziął się oryginalnie z tego, że ludzie nie wiedzą, że archiwizowane strony mogą być częścią testów A/B i poza samym faktem, że mogą być poprawiane/aktualizowane. Na przestrzeni kilku dni zabobon zamienił się w wersje wydarzeń, gdzie autor archive.today osobiście podmienia treści, ale nie widziałem ani jednego przykładu.

    Sam serwis stanowi olbrzymią wartość i bardziej podejrzewam, że atak na niego jest częścią szerszego ataku na dostępność wiarygodnych informacji.

  • Iran didn’t have nukes around the corner but they kept uranium that was enriched well beyond what you’d require for a regular reactor. You don’t really need to dig a bunker absurdly deep in a mountain for nuclear research if all you’re doing is reactors too. These guys are playing a very long game and seem to be very patient.

    Judging by your instance I assume you’re used to pretending Iran isn’t pursuing nuclear arms because it was a taboo but by now everyone and their grandmothers are trying to procure some nukes so it’s doubly silly to say that Iran wouldn’t do this 100% rational thing given how much of a threat Israel and Saudi Arabia are.

  • Nobody cares about ballistic missiles since they didn’t prevent anyone from being invaded so far. Nukes on the other hand are a game over for bullies like US, Russia or China. Iran is quite open about pursuing this capability too and their enrichment facilities were heavily targeted during that brief war couple of months ago.

  • What a reputational disaster it is for ECB. Deutsche Welle (German state broadcaster) even ran a piece on why Legarde stepping down ahead of time is a good thing because even if it shows central bank isn’t really politically independent, it’s the good guys abusing the system so it’s all fine.

  • I don’t trust blurry videos in the era of chatbots hallucinating short video clips. I’m seeing mostly Israeli media reporting this so I can’t say I’m convinced. I’m getting an impression a consent for invasion is being manufactured very hastily.
