Here are three Minnesota sports stories that seem totally absurd.

I don't think you'll find a lot of Microsoft love around these parts either lol

That was such a fascinating video. It's a shame to see what's happened with Selma, especially those houses abandoned after the tornado. Alabama is a state I don't think about often, but the video really showed what a beautiful and historic place it is.

I am happy for you. Hope you enjoy, kyodai!

I appreciate AW1 but the gameplay was pretty repetitive and feels dated today (imo). 2 is a lot more enjoyable

I agree with everything you said, including the bot traffic prioritization

I would like to see the game day bot back for the Twins community!
Your work and dedication to this project is appreciated. Thank you!

Grayjay works pretty well

I think they added a cloudflare captcha. Saw a recommendation for flaresolver but it sounds like that uses a fair amount of memory so I haven't tried it personally

At first I thought you meant Beehaw in general had dropped off trending communities and you were happy to have fewer users 😆
Thinking about it now, the recent months have become much more stable in my experience. Unfortunately, one of those "when things are going right, nobody will notice." So I appreciate you drawing attention to this win.
Thank you for all your hard work!

"While you have repeatedly claimed that the ACP is necessary for connecting participating households to the Internet, it appears the vast majority of tax dollars have gone to households that already had broadband prior to the subsidy," the Republicans' December 2023 letter to Rosenworcel said.
That may be partly explained by the fact that many ACP recipients were getting a different discount under a predecessor program that ended once the ACP was implemented. The $30 monthly ACP benefit replaced the previous $50 monthly subsidy from the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program that started enrolling users in May 2021.

I only lightly follow the loons, but I enjoyed the couple games I saw last year. Hope the team can get things together soon...

You're totally right, I missed that before. Thank you!

The color is a scale that ranges between...14 and 17579? That does not seem very helpful when most areas are just shades of pink

"True Pacifist" route is worth doing if you enjoy Undertale, it's not terribly difficult and fleshes out the characters a bit more. If you're thinking about going the other way, I would say play up through Undyne and see how that feels. Edit: also play Deltarune if you havent
I really want to like Outer Wilds, but it just hasn't quite clicked with me either. I've probably played about 10 hours but just keep bouncing off of it.

I'm so damn excited for this game

I agree, homebrewing a Wii is so easy that I think I could do it in my sleep at this point. If anyone is debating between one or the other, Wii is the way to go you're essentially getting two consoles in one (and there are even emulators/vc for almost every console that comes before them).
That being said, I just have to admire the work that people are putting in to the GameCube after all these years. There's something really pleasing to me about its form factor and its simplicity compared to the Wii. This channel has several other showcases like this one if that sounds interesting!

This mod adds an on-brand menu to the GameCube where you can play ROMs off of an SD card. The coolest part is that it piggybacks off of the disc drive instead of replacing it! And no soldering! I'm a big fan of passionate retromod projects like this.

Is there not a movie/TV review site in the fediverse?
I've gotten a lot more into movie-watching over the past year or two, and I'm ready to move off of my Google Sheets list (I know, I know). The obvious platform is letterboxd, but is there really no established alternative in the fediverse?
It's surprising to me that Bookwyrm enjoys moderate success, but I have not found anything for viewable media, which I would think there would be a greater audience for.

Had a lot of fun with this game when it first came out. Definitely recommend if you enjoy fast-paced games with a focus on movement

I didn't see a link to the study in the article, I believe this is it: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10583170/

I too preferred the tricolor and that opinion seems to be shared with friends and family I've talked to. However, I still think this is a big improvement from the old flag and it certainly beats out some of the other proposed alterations.
Ultimately, I'm happy with it! Helps that light blue is my favorite color.

Seeding Visualizer?
I don't know about the rest of you, but I love watching the ratio go up on my torrents. Is there anything out there that can take a download percentage, seed ratio, etc from qbittorrent and turn it into a live bar graph (or something more artistic)?

Looking for journaling apps
Looking for recommendations on a good FOSS journal/diary app for Android. Preferably encrypted at rest. Cross-device sync isn't important for me, looking more for a thought dump than anything.

Is there a change you'd like to make, but don't know where to start?
There's a lot of things we'd like to get better at, but ideas like "eat healthier" or "get more exercise" can feel lofty and difficult to start. How do you break it down and make those first steps?
What's something you'd like to do, but could use a little extra boost to get started?
