  • This is an ad for facebook's chatbox. I am a computer scientist. The chatboxes pointed at each other are poisoning their own datasets by optimizing for what the average human conversation appears like, but they are no longer talking to humans. Look at the example used in the article.

  • I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're refering to as badposting, is in fact, c/badposting, or as I've recently taken to calling it, hexbear plus badposting. badposting is not an operating comm unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning hexbear system made useful by the comm system components comprising a full reddit clone as defined by lemmy.

    badposting is normally used in combination with the hexbear website; the whole system is basically hexbear with badposting added, or c/badposting. All the so-called bad posts are really distributions of c/badposting!
