I haven't seen anybody mentioning this, the only sources I could find related to it are religious and/or anticommunist sources.
So, Romzha was a Catholic priest in the USSR. After World War II, the Russian Orthodox Church wanted the Greek Catholic Church in the USSR to merge with them, but Romzha refused this, and he was reportedly threatened by Soviet officials.
In the end, Nikita Khrushchev ordered the NKVD to assassinate him. This resulted in him getting rammed by a military truck before being sent to the hospital and killed via lethal injection. He would later be called a martyr.

If you haven't noticed in recent times, liberals have been accusing the Trump administration and basically anybody who criticizes Biden/Kamala/liberalism of being a Russian agent or puppet! (Or sometimes a Chinese or Iranian puppet, but Russia is the most common)
It can't be the fault of the United States themselves! It can't be that liberal capitalism would eventually degenerate into fascism! It can't be that people are genuinely furious at the government independent of foreign powers!

It's especially infuriating when they accuse leftists (particularly pro-Palestinian activists) of being "just funded by the Russians!" It's like liberals refuse to take responsibility for their own ideology's atrocities and think that their precious liberalism can never be wrong and all the haters are just fake.

My mom no-joke says that she is scared of the "Venezuelan gangs" that she reads and hears about all the time on the news. She says that she even gets scared whenever she hears a noise at night because of this. I even try to tell her that the media is trying to get her scared by blasting this stuff and that undocumented immigrants actually commit less crimes on average. Whatever I say, it all goes over her head.
The media has successfully tricked her into being scared of the evil scary brown people. It's both very funny and very sad at the same time.
