  • 12 years with 1940s tech. With 2025 tech that's collapse of Russia sort of resistance. The Baltics would 100% dirty bomb Moscow if it ever came to it.

Ruzkies and the world is very different now especially since Russian soft power is so incredibly low compared to ww2. Literally nobody likes Russia and nobody can justify existence under their failing system and economy. Every Baltics state has significantly higher GDP per capita than Russia with basically infinite natural resources - there's no way to even spin Russian occupation.

You are clearly the troll here if you can't understand this.

  • Inkscape is really good and I prefer it over Adobe Illustrator. It's a bit worse in some regards but its really stable and does everything very reliably and can be molded into svg production machine.

Kdenlive is the best simple video editor out there. Sure other editors are better but kdenlive really hits that sweet spot of being simple but powerful.

Digikam is the best photo management suite I know off. Everything else seems to be missing one thing or another and Digikam just does everything and does it pretty well.

Ansel (fork of Darktable) is often better than Adobe Lightroom for casual photography as it comes with very strong opinionated defaults. I generall just follow the default pipeline and have amazing shots. Light room could probably get me a bit further but Ansels hits the sweet spot between too basic and too clunky.

Then as a developer foss libraries are basically uncontested to the point where proprietary libraries and programming languages basically do not exist anymore.

  • Nah that's a cop out. There are legit irrationalities that do not fall into this and i say that as a contemporary utilitarian.

Someone mentioned gambling in the comments and thats exactly one of such examples - the invisible gains here are almost impossible to justify rationally as in the entertainment provided by gambling can be replicated without the dangers of it very easily. As in mathematically speaking playing fair return games will yield the same or higher satisfaction than low yield games meaning low yields games are objectively irrational.

  • Not same as "all tech starts out". You're literally typing on tech stack that didn't start out like that. Then there's Masotodon, fediverse, gnome, kde, linux etc. Etc. - literally almost no good software comes out of VC world statically speaking.

  • Nah it was not good. Domain names already do that and are accessible to all at all times with full transparency and decentralization. Bluesky is literally regressing.

Even mastodon's verification system is better than checkmarks.

  • Again "unsolvable" through sheer amount of positions at the beginning of the game (at its literally solved at 7 pieces) so this is just a cop out because thats boring as fuck. It's not an interesting game where computational power is the only challenge and not even that much towards the last steps of the game.

The only argument for "chess is not solved" is because of sheer math number but its a flawed argument as any game with sufficient amount of positions would be considered unsolved.

So for all practical intents and purposes - chess is a solved game but people are too attached to admit it.

"Our focus is on transforming our biggest franchises from largely console and PC-based with 3-4 year release schedules to include more always-on gameplay through live services, multiplatform, and free-to-play extensions, with the goal of having more players spending more time on more platforms.
