So the entire top 8 has DRS
And as I say that, Perez breaks it
for 4th?
What odds Perez and Russel crashing into each other at the first corner :D
"Can Perez catch Piastri"
The only thing Perez has caught recently is Covid, and Im amazed he managed that
If i'm remembering right, they double stacked and did 2.1 max, 2.0 checo
and then next stop they did 1.9 on max, 2.0 on checo
edit: it was china https://www.formula1.com/en/results.html/2024/races/1233/china/pit-stop-summary.html
two double stacks
didnt red bull double stack a 2.0, 1.9 earlier this season?
Max's timing with DRS zones is so damn good. The way he ensures he has a full DRS to build up 1 second before the other car gets DRS is nuts.
how tf did George get there :o
Lando so busy trying to squeeze max he gave George a tow and a ton of space on the outside
safety car just as the rain arrives, this is gonna be mega interesting
he's not doing himself any favours that he is still sitting 16th.. isn't even making up places in the backfield
I feel like anybody in that car would be going faster than perez
George doing George things, and where the hell did that extra burst of pace suddenly spring from for Norris.
Its like his tyres suddenly found 2 laps worth of total sweet spot
I mean, Checo has been renewed for 2025, and option for 2026...
but that all could change but it would cost RB a lot of $$
yeh, im more surprised other teams didn't give it a shot.
Like why did Red Bull not take a punt with Perez, faster cars, on wet tyres, he could have made up a ton of places if it worked out.
Totally understand why Haas made the call on wets, surprised more lower teams didn't try it
But equally surprised they put both drivers on wets.. smart choice for lower field runners surely would be split strategy?
I'm sorry, but this is why you dont give someone who's grossly under-performing a 2 year contract at this point of the season.
You use the possibility of a contract to motivate and then reward performance
You dont give the contract and hope that motivates them to perform
I mean at least its distracted from Horner, everyones laughing at Checo now
i mean, you can slow down the second car before hitting the pits and then crawl in the pit lane, only needs a 5 second gap or so
McLaren and Mercedes didn't double stack because...........
gambling on another s/c i guess?
Aaaaaand Max already has a gap you could fit half the F2 grid in
If Red Bull do that, then F1 will start bringing a whole raft of rule changes mid season to try an screw over Red Bull and make them slower
(I mean they tried to do that last year with the floor rulings, but Red Bull ended up getting even better)
Only took 18 laps for a "we are checking"
Skull & Bones - My thoughts after playing the Beta for 6 hours
I should preface by saying I am a big Ubisoft fan. I have played the death out of every Assassins Creed game, loved Fenyx Rising, love the Ghost Recon series, play the hell out of Riders Republic, Watch Dogs Legion, etc etc. So, as far as "Ubisoft games" go I am their target market.
On the flip side, I am perhaps holding the game to a high standard because for nigh on a decade we have been told it will be the spiritual successor to Black Flag, and after platinuming that for the second time in October, its pretty fresh in my mind.
So.. cue 6 hours of gameplay in the December Beta
Underwhelming, and honestly, by the final hour I was pretty bored and looking for a reason to stop playing. Should be noted its a Beta and "as such does not represent the finished version", but four crashes in 6 hours (all when fast travelling) did not help.
GRAPHICS: If you have played recent Assassin Creed games (Especially Odyssey which has a lot of naval stuff) its not really a huge step up from the
There is no moral high ground for Reddit as it seeks to capitalise on user data

That โcorpus of dataโ is the content posted by millions of Reddit users over the decades. It is a fascinating and valuable record of what they were thinking and obsessing about. Not the tiniest fraction of it was created by Huffman, his fellow executives or shareholders. It can only be seen as belonging to them because of whatever skewed โconsentโ agreement its credulous users felt obliged to click on before they could use the service.
Ouch
Extension to add clickable local links on non-local instances
This extension helps users subscribed to Lemmy communities by adding an icon before mentions or URLs related to other communities. These mentions can be in the format โ [/c/]โ or through URLs like โhttps://lemmy.ml/c/memes [https://lemmy.ml/...
This extension helps users subscribed to Lemmy communities by adding an icon before mentions or URLs related to other communities. These mentions can be in the format โ โ or through URLs like โhttps://lemmy.ml/c/memesโ.
By clicking the icon, users are directed to the kbin URL of that community. However, thereโs currently a bug preventing it from working on /kbin (ironically), and Iโve already reported the issue on Git.
Iโm in the process of publishing the extension on Firefox and Chrome extension stores, along with making the source code available.
I would appreciate your input on whether you find this extension useful.

Works on lemmy instances. You specify your lemmy host in the preferences and it automatically adds a small icon before all addresses, both on communities and in threads/posts
