Games that make use of two or more monitors?
Many gamers have setups with two or monitors. Oftentimes these differ in size, resolution, even aspect ratio. They can be very helpful in productivity tasks, but mid-gameplay they rarely serve as more than displays for external music or chat.
Are there games that utilize this extra space in a unique way and are played better or exclusively with two or more monitors? Preferably something more than just extra FOV
What game(s) would you use to introduce someone to WASD/Mouse controls?
My partner is interested in learning some of the games I play, so I'm trying to find some introductory games to get her used to the common control schemes.
Off the top of my head, it'd probably have to be games that...
The only game that particularly comes to mind is Portal, but hopefully others will have some better ideas.
An icon of 2000s gaming wants us to know that it's still being used in big games, even if SSDs mean hardly anyone has time to show its logo anymore.
Dominion of Darkness - RPG/strategy simulator of the Dark Lord (absolutely NOT commercial)
I hope it is not a spam according to Your definition. Game is totally free and not commercial. I am not gaining any money from it in any way. Not even ads, patronite, nothing. There is no paid premium content, nothing. I am just newbie creator who wants to share his work and get some feedback.
"Dominion of Darkness” is a free strategy text game in which the player takes on the role of a Sauron-style Lord of Darkness with the goal of conquering the world. He will carry out his plans by making various decisions. He will build his army and send it into battles, weave intrigues and deceptions, create secret spy networks and sectarian cults, recruit agents and commanders, corrupt representatives of Free Peoples and sow discord among them, collect magical artifacts and perform sinister plots. Note – one game takes about 1 hour, but the premise is that the game can be approached several times, each time making different decisions, getting different results and discovering something new. I spent months playing stalker without graphics mods.
Well I feel like a real idiot right now, I've played stalker anomaly for a long time now. And because I like a stutter free, high refresh rate experience. I hadn't used the graphics upgrade mod. Well my dumb ass didn't fully read through the description, and it turns out it actually increases your performance..
Sure enough I booted up stalker anomaly with the screen space shaders mod, and the game runs a little better than it did. and looks like an AAA game from 2018.
I dunno if any of you play stalker anomaly, but don't skip over this mod.
