Note that you can only get two energy per player, but in multiplayer you could make more by hitting multiple people (EG if you hit Bob with 3 guys and Alice with 1, you'd get 2+2=4 total energy)
I play it on the deck all the time and it's fine, graphics turned down to potato but they still look decent, and the FPS stays good in all but the most insane of situations (I play on difficulty 8/9, so I'm experiencing the most enemies possible). Only "hard" part is there's no aim assist for controller so the high precision weapons like snipers are harder to use, but that doesn't stop me from trying haha
It runs great! Granted I turned all the graphics to minimum, but the game still looks good and runs great. Only problem is if there's just an absurd amount of particle effects it can get a little frame-y, but I play at the second-highest difficulty (so lots of enemies) and frames only happen every 20 matches or so at most
I regularly use 4 wireless Xbox controllers for this exact purpose, and it works great. There's always the occasional Bluetooth quirks, but overall it's seamless
Hate everything about this, and I've been a secret lair diehard from day 1. I love the cool art treatments, I buy the overpriced basic lands, I really enjoy the crossovers even when I don't personally care about the property, overall a big fan. But what I do NOT like is turning it into hyper-FOMO "buy quick or never get it again!!" bullshit. Having them be limited to the sale was fine because you got like a month to think about it, being forced to buy it in the first (day? Hour? Minute??) or else the stock disappears means I won't bother, I respect myself too much for that nonsense.
We did get a dredge card fairly recently in [[Shenanigans]], the key here was a niche (but okay priced) effect + a low dredge number. Brings it more in line with the original "fair" use of dredge (re buying useful cards)
Bought Portal 1 + 2 for my love, they'd never played them before and they're tied for my all-time favorite game so couldn't pass it up for $1.98. Plus always on the lookout for co-op games to play :D
For me, I finally bought Cyberpunk 2077, although funnily enough I decided to buy it on GoG since they're the actual developers of the game. Is working perfect through Heroic so far, although to be fair I've only made it just past the intro
Oh shiiiit, Nagas are becoming snakes! Finally the tribals can make sense!
Crazy that Binding of Isaac is still in there, it's been years since the last release and it's not really in the public consciousness the same way something like Vampire Survivors is. Fantastic game though, happy to see it continue to succeed
Got to play Cthulhu Wars with 3 friends, one was brand new and two had played two years ago so pretty fresh all around. I had a lead as Daemon Sultan, but made a greedy ritual play and got punished hard. New player playing black goat had the win in the bag with a ritual and 6 gates, but decided not to ritual and play with her food. She ended the next (final) round with zero gates and Cthulhu took the win instead lol
Agreed, I love em. My only complaint is we've only had one set of them so far, and while there's a few standouts ([[Invasion of Segovia]] in Locust God is nasty), overall they were obviously designed on the safer side. Excited to see where the design space leads as they get more confident in the card type
Oh shit, Isaac 2!
Actually to the point, I didn't even have Mewgenics on my radar, but it is now. To be honest, being real-time (and thus skill based) is one of my favorite parts of Isaac, since it allows you to clutch victories even with bad RNG in ways you can't always do with turn based games. Either way I respect him trying something different and will definitely try the new game on pedigree alone.
Interesting too that he's admitted the lack of item info is a regret. I do use "that mod" (the super popular item descriptions mod) and I honestly can't imagine playing again without it, it's just such a nice QoL
I attempted, it got done downloading most of the BG3 installers, and then.... It all just disappeared? No record of the files or downloads anywhere. Since it took an hour+ I gave up on that angle
I gave up, so many workarounds and reinstalls and everything for nothing. I've refunded and purchased through steam. Luckily someone else in this thread gave me a tip even the steam version is DRM-free, so that's nice
Thanks for the hot tip, after spending 10+ hours struggling I'm just refunding and going to get it on steam. Having to zip my own backup is slightly annoying, but much less so than this nonsense
Honestly, same, my buying habits did a full 180 (I use to wait to get a game on GoG, now I never do). But my witcher 3 I had on GoG worked great even if it was a little less convenient, and BG3 seems like a game I'll want to have forever, so I figured why not. Unfortunate that they had to go and give me a reason why not...
Still failed :/ If I can ask, when did you get your steam deck? Maybe there's subtle manufacturing differences causing the issue? I got mine Sept 2022
Nope, nothing, I haven't really modded my deck at all. I did have dexky just for steamgriddb and protondb badges, but I uninstalled both of those and then dexky itself just to be sure and no changes
Tried this on a fresh install (including new prefix) and no luck. Currently just un and reinstalled heroic itself, and am waiting for my Bauldurs gate download (again), I'll try these steps again once that's done and hope for the best

Help, is Anyone able to get the GoG version of Bauldurs Gate 3 running on the deck?
Hello y'all, I'm at my wits end. I got the GoG version of BG3 (cause DRM free yay!), but for the love of me I cannot get it to work. I've done so much googling and so many workarounds, I've installed .net, I've skipped the launcher, I've used the alternate .exe, I've tried proton experimental and 8 and hotfix, but nothing has got me even as far as a loading screen. I just get a flash of black then crashed back to desktop. If anyone has any insights or help I would greatly appreciate it, I'm using Heroic right now but honestly I'll do whatever to get this thing working.

My playgroup defederated with me
So my playgroup used to play at our friend Chris's house, but lately we had to leave due to his iron-fist policy regarding "leaving with our deck instead of letting him keep them at his house". One of my friends had heard of the "USS Federationverse", and it sounded kinda the same so we all immediately jumped in!
I really try to bring my own flavor and spin to my decks, by commissioning tasteful proxies of barely-clothed waifus (they're actually 800 years old so it's all okay). My artistic passion is so great I'd even swap out my friends cards with properly-jiggly replacements when they went to the bathroom.
But now, my friends said it's "weird", or "inappropriate", or "maybe you shouldn't given the pending court case". I just kept following my heart, but lately I've been showing up and noticing that their decks and plays are the same as last week's. I finally got to the root of it, and they've defederated from me! When I cornered one of them with my bulk to politely (but alpha-y) as

Favorite Killer?
Figure this could be a fun topic! Who's your favorite Killer, either to play as or play against? Bonus points, share your build!
For me, my favorite still has to be Singularity to play as, its ability is super flexible, with applications in cross-map info and chases. Plus its voice lines do a great job of showcasing both cold calculation and absolute disdain. I run a pretty basic build, Nowhere to Hide, No One Escapes Death, Fearmonger and either Thrilling Tremors or BBQ and Chili, haven't settled on which I like better. My favorite add-ons are the blindness within biopod one, and the one that makes survivors scream when they cleanse slipstream. (Funniest perk combo: the purple that makes the first EMPs take longer and everyone starts streamed, + the one that streamed survivors hear the terror radius constantly. Psychological warfare from the jump!).
To play against... I think I have to say Ghostface. He turns the game on its head by never having a terror radius, so you really gotta

When do you use Iri add-ons?
Title. I'm relatively new to the game, only a few weeks in. I can see the power of Iridescent add-ons (silent bell as Wraith?? Woof!), but they are so expensive and rare I have no idea when to actually use them. I'd "save" them for an important game, but... it's always just random opponents, so I have no idea if the Iri would be good or if I would stomp/get stomped either way and it's a waste. Curious to hear from people who do use them, when do you decide to do it?
