  • MIR

  • Got a ton of hours in it on Linux (Proton Experimental) and it runs perfectly. Can't think of a single issue I encountered during that whole time. The game is super fun if you're into tactical thinking and quick and deadly firefights. Also the level design is superb and both friendly and enemy AI are really well implemented. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 GOG version on Linux

The new Stalker game seems to be running just fine on steam if ProtonDB is anything to go by. Nevertheless, I'd prefer to purchase the game on GOG and unfortunately I have yet to see any posts anywhere about how that version runs via Lutris as an example. I don't expect there to be any issues but it would be nice to hear from people who've attempted to play it that way. Cheers.

  • Odd, I just tried it and had no issues.

  • I get those popups too at times, but they are not what I am referring to. The shader pre-chaching updates I mentioned work in the same way you described your phenomenon, through the regular update menu.

  • Since I've switched to linux, a lot of games have been starting doing shader pre-caching updates regularly. Might be that.

Ender-3 V3 Plus for cosplay props

I'm thinking about buying a 3D printer for creating cosplay props like helmets and armor pieces (only once I figure things out, I'll start small of course) among other things and since there is a sale on the Ender 3 V3 series and they seem to be well received I figured that it would make sense to buy one. Having done some research, it seems like the regular V3 with it's 220x220x250mm build volume is too small for what I'm planning to do. Though splitting some parts will of course still be required, from what I could gather the V3 Plus better matches the recommended build volume having one of 300x300x330mm. The sale puts it at about the original price of the regular V3 which works for my budget.

I'd love to hear some thoughts on this, since my knowledge is limited as well as theoretical and the quality of internet sources varies quite heavily.

  • Watch Dogs. It's without a doubt my favorite video game franchise of all time and it saddens me that there hasn't been any sign of a new game being in development at all. I'd love if the game went back to its roots by following the first entries formula, but that's just a minor preference and at this point I'd take anything.

  • Regular Trump already does that to me.

  • Haven't found one yet. I'm gonna look for player bases along the expedition route with a name indicating the presence of one, that usually does the trick.

Watch Dogs - A community for discussing the Watch Dogs video game franchise

I'm a big fan of the Watch Dogs games and books and thought that it would be great to have a place on lemmy to talk about and share media related to them. Especially now that there's a manga series being released and an upcoming movie has been confirmed, this seems like the perfect time to do this. Thanks for reading my post and I hope to see you there!
