    1. If you believe that being gay is largely genetic
    2. do you believe that some countries have just more gay genes?
    3. if not you can assume that the highest gay ratio in countries is more representative than the lower ones of specific countries.
    4. If you look at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_sexual_orientation there are some countries with >=7%

    I think the largest reason for lower reports is social pressure and the flexibility applied when being unhappy with your own orientation due to that pressure "I am not gay. I just like to experiment!" I believe that this partly causes the relatively large amount of "not completely straight" people in more precise studies.

    Anyway, this is a lot of guess work. Mainly I had this presumption, because a gay man I know stated "I can ask 10 men on the street and one will join me" and given that it sounded like he tried it a few times, I do believe him. So my starting position is highly anecdotal and not very scientific.

  • I don't really understand. I use Linux and have no problem with Netflix. Not sure how it goes with other streaming services.

  • KDE Connect works great. I already use it occasionally. My parents definitely need a keyboard free solution, but that is no issue with kde connect..

  • more like 7% so >=15:1

  • I will definitely give it a try :) they look great!

  • What are they called? Look great!

  • For this use case it is important to be able to record separate voices/origins to individual audio tracks.

    Maybe element is not the right choice for this. I did some further searching and am unable to find a recording tool for element that is able to achieve this.

  • It's largely because there is very low incentive to create videos for peertube: smaller user base and less revenue options. So you find less videos because there are less.

  • It's a trick. By using circles it follows naturally, but if you just use bars it is no longer inherently so. Whether it is true is hard to tell

  • Team speak and mumble also looked ancient compared to Discord. Also, easy bot support surely didn't hold it back; though I am not sure to what degree team speak and mumble offer easy integration.

  • was a funny typo. I meant to write "all" not "Al"

  • yes, but it doesn't have Al features

    EDIT: Funny typo. Al->all

  • I apologize :(

  • tbh. I wasn't aware of this. So far I only used it in the browser

  • Well, I guess that 95% of all non-native speakers don't know what a stoat is. So it is much harder to connect to/remember it.

  • Revolt! your time has come (though it has been renamed to Stoat; a name I very much dislike.

  • My potato from 15 years ago could in fact not run if (fluently; had like 15 fps).

  • This is addressed by some authors of the effective altruism movement, but I don't have enough insight to go into greater detail.
