Windex to clean, let it dry for a bit, then a layer of gluestick has always worked for me, as long as the bed heats to 60°C for printing. The z offset has to be a bit different for PETG than PLA, which can be a bit tricky. I think (been a whole since I've printed PETG) it had to be a bit higher than PLA, so it wouldn't "squish" as much as PLA. Seemed a bit counterintuitive, but it solved most of my problems
A router is at the top of my list for "nice to have, adds a lot of value, but not absolutely necessary for basic projects" tools. I still don't have a router table after 6 years, just a Makita plunge router that I got for $100. Great tool, but not 100% necessary if you're just trying to make basic tables and such.
People will complain about any number of tools. "THIS GUY HAS $10K IN TOOLS, MINIMUM, NO ONE CAN DO THIS PROJECT WITHOUT ALL THOSE TOOLS!!!1!"
Ignoring the fact that while that particular shop has expensive tools, nobody (sane) goes out and drops all that money at once. Most woodworking projects only need a table saw, a planer, a cordless drill, an orbital sander, glue, sandpaper and finish.
All of the tools can be found cheap on Facebook marketplace, Craigslist, OfferUp, yard sales, or estate sales/auctions.
Woodworking isn't a cheap hobby, but you can get into it with used tools and some restoration work. People love to nitpick shit, and it gets old seeing the same defeatist mentality of people talking themselves out of even trying it.
Space is the only thing you need, but even then, I started on a 5'x5' apartment balcony in Florida, and used an uninsulated, unpowered 9'x16' shed in Alaska for several years.
Definitely earned it this year. I've never been happier to be wrong about a player
I hope y'all kick Dallas' teeth in, because fuck the cowboys
Dak's "here we gooooooo" and weird little horse step is so stupid
I just don't give a fuck about it this clown or his little circus. I don't care. Let him sit in his stupid little corner and jerk himself off, just stop trying to force his every move into the spotlight.
I call it "don't live in a place where the air hurts my face"
But actually, XtraTuf boots are great.
NFL 2023 Week 7 Gamethread
The NFL is rigging the game to make the Colts lose in order to protect local MILFS. CMV

How tf is that illegal contact? Cooper just stiffarmed the defender into the dirt with his facemask
NFL 2023 Week 7 Gamethread
Patriot's defense is solid. Ours is average at best, and Fangio put Kader Kohou on Diggs instead of playing slot corner where he's good. Allen is overrated and a big ole crybaby removed that whines for a flag every time a defender comes within 5 yards of him

MINSHEW MANIA. MILFS beware
Hustle culture, sure. Side hustles, sure. The concept that a game company should pay me to play their game, nope.
Flop much Herbert?
I've literally never heard a single person bring that idea up. Acting like it's somehow a widely held belief because that dude said so is idiotic.
Man, both of these defenses are trash
Pats fans are learning why no one thought Tua could throw deep. Devante Parker is straight up trash
Chiefs offense did not look good last night. Broncos looked awful, as usual
Are flairs a thing on Lemmy?
Basically title. It would be nice to have team flairs, if it's possible here
Red Zone Game Thread
Talk some shit. Fuck the Jets, Cowboys are gonna miss the playoffs, Tua for MVP, Jordan Love is better than Aaron Rodgers at this point, Josh Allen is overrated, Mac Jones sucks, Jared Goff is great, Dan Campbell is the man, etc etc
Made a pair of cherry end tables
Not sure why I can't upload multiple images, but there's another one just like this. Added some transtint dye to two coats of shellac, then two coats of poly, sprayed on with an HVLP gun. In hindsight, there are a few changes I would make to my design to make them easier to build, but I'm happy overall (and so is my wife)
Hall of Fame Game Thread
Any plans to make a game thread similar to r/nfl?
Here's one for the HoF game, bit late. Fuck the Jets
Had my first dogfight and successful piracy
Had my first dogfight a few days ago. I was scouting in a Cutty Black for my friend when he went to sell some illegal cargo on Daymar, and spotted a Hull A heading to the sell point. Naturally, I launched a bunch of missiles and finished him off with lasers.
My buddy jumped in, sold his cargo, and I started to head back to ArcCorp to do my own thing. After I finished my first jump, he told me someone was attacking him in a Warden (I think), so I turned around. My buddy had already launched a bunch of missiles and was trying to escape. I fired another 8 missiles, charged in guns blazing, and blew the guy up. Turns out it was the same guy coming back for revenge.
Very fun encounter, and the guy was a good sport about it. Ended up getting a decent chunk of cargo off the Hull A and had a great time. I've been running cargo in my Cutty or a rented Connie, or ROC mining for the last couple weeks, so this was a fun change of pace
Best random orbital sander that's not Festool?
I've been using a crappy random orbit sander from Walmart for the past 5 years. It works well enough, but as I've gotten a bit older, had a few more non-woodworking related injuries, etc, the excessive vibration is really starting to get to me. I know Festool is the gold standard in terms of dust control and likely vibration, but are there any other good options that aren't $500-600?
I'm sitting here after sanding for an hour and a half or so and my hand is still tingling after 20 minutes. Clearly, I need to get a better sander, but I can't justify spending $575 on a Festool sander right now. $50-150 would be more palatable, as long as it is a clear upgrade from my current setup.
Edit:[Ended up getting this Makita sander ](https://www.homedepot.com/p/Makita-3-Amp-5-in-Corded-Variable-Speed-Random-Orbital-Sander-with-Dust-Bag-BO5041/205671780?g_store=4653&source=shoppingads&locale=en-US&&mtc=SHOPPING-BF-CDP-GGL-D25T-025_009_PORT_POWER-NA-Multi-NA-SMART-NA-NA-NA-NA-NBR-NA-NA-NA-PortP
Best gameplay loop for aUEC in 3.19?
What's the best way to build up aUEC in 3.19? I've played this game a bit, touch and go for a year or so. Is bounty hunting still the way to go? Bunker missions? Mining? Something else?
I've mainly been doing bounties and bunker missions with some friends to pay for my ship upgrades for the third time, but only spent a couple hours so I'm not too invested in any one path

Made a walnut picture frame for my wife to put some hand written lyrics from her favorite band
Couldn't upload multiple images, but used walnut with maple splines. First time using splines, very happy with how it turned out
