  • IIRC, the windows version of this is a setting where you can hit CTRL and it makes a moderately large circle that contracts towards the pointer. It's been in since at least W7/Vista, possibly XP. I've used it on and off for years (especially with 3 27" monitors) because of how easy it is to lose the cursor.

  • Edit 2: they made it a pain in the ass to change your password apparently now they favor only 20 characters max (rip my 35 character password).

That just screams they're not storing passwords properly. If you're salt+hashing your passwords, they could throw Hamlet into the password field and the only limit is how big the text entry field can be. The output is a fixed length string, so I put length should be immaterial.

  • My ideology is that suffering should be minimised.

Is that why you side with the perpetuators of the suffering? Or is it just a coincidence that you treat criticism of Israel's numerous crimes as pro-Hamas rhetoric?

  • He was a teacher who had to go on strike because the board of the school all voted to give themselves raises and cut the number of teachers and give no one else raises while raising tuition.

You should have told him to keep working, the wealth will trickle down from the board to him any day now.

It's a dick move, but those sorts of idiots only really learn when they get their noses shoved in their own piss (a few hundred times).

  • I'd love to get Miles Morales! I started playing the first one this year and my son (who adores Spider-Man) would regularly sit and cuddle with me on my lap while I played it. Easily my favorite experience from the year.

  • which some equate with murder.

I've never understood that mentality. If we see an animal suffering, we treat them humanely and help them pass to get them out of pain and end their suffering. But with people, you're forced to hold out to the very end no matter how much pain you're in or how much you're suffering.

If someone is suffering or has a terminal disease and wants to end it all, they should be able to do so in a way that is as painless and comfortable for them as possible.

  • The “War on drugs” has been a colossal failure.

That's only true if you believe the lies that the "war on drugs" was actually about drugs. It never has been, it was always about having an excuse to incarcerate and beat down groups they didn't like; minorities, the poor, and the left.

When you look at it that way, it's obvious that the war on drugs is actually a really successful means to an end. Just try not to have a heart and think of the countless lives they ruined to keep a boot on peoples' neck.

  • “Winning requires hard work. I believe that most of us, being ambitious individuals, find fulfillment in the joy of seeing our efforts materialize into tangible results,”

Bitch, I find fulfilment in paying my fucking bills. I could give 2 shits less about the "tangible results" of my work that makes my company money, I only care that my boss is happy with my work and I get paid. Working harder to get another 10% out the door gets me 0% more money, so why do I care about making you more money with no benefit to me?

All that is ln't to say I don't care about the quality of my work, I'm just not going to break my back to make my boss another dollar while I get jack shit out of my extra effort. I get paid for 40hrs, I work 40hrs, and I'm surely not going above and beyond to earn a pizza party or something...
