The music/ambience was not my cup of tea. It was very cliché and did not add to the creepiness of the movie. It would have been better with more/mostly silence I feel. It's used overabundantly and that cheapens any effect it might've had. Also it's kinda just shrieky.

That's pretty sad because the movie is beautifully shot and spaghetti dude was pretty great.

I've recently watched 'The Terror' and am fascinated by the subject. I enjoy the scenery, the bleakness and harshness of the environment and the explorative subject matter.

I could do without supernatural elements, though.

Es gibt laut Wikipedia deutsche Entsprechungen für die Guillotine. Nämlich "Fallbeil", "Fallschwertmaschine" und "Köpfmaschine".

Ich nehme Anstoß daran, dass eine Guillotine eine Maschine sein soll. Der Einfachheit halber zitiere ich nochmal Wikipedia: "Eine Maschine [...] ist ein technisches Gebilde mit durch ein Antriebssystem bewegten Teilen."

Ist die Ausnutzung der Gravitationskraft wirklich ein Antriebssystem? Das ist doch ein bisschen viel des Guten. Eine Guillotine ist eher ein Apparat (Wiki: "Ein Apparat ist in der Verfahrenstechnik eine Baueinheit zur Umsetzung von Stoffen und/oder Energie, wobei – in Abgrenzung zu einer Maschine – keine oder nur geringfügige mechanische Arbeit abgegeben oder aufgenommen wird bzw. – in Abgrenzung zu einem Gerät – keine oder nur geringfügige Signale verarbeitet werden. ")

Eine Guillotine ist also eindeutig ein Apparat und keine "Fallschwertmaschine".
