When I first joined Lemmy over a year ago after the Reddit API changes, I unknowingly joined a server that had a large right wing community. So I’ve been seeing a bunch of that stuff on Lemmy for a while now

I can’t look at super close up pictures of insects, like where you can see all the little hairs and shit. Sends shivers down my spine. The worst part is I had to dissect a giant grasshopper in high school anatomy. God I still remember having to rip its mandibles out of its face. Gahh shiver. I also tried playing through my Oculus Quest 2 via Virtual Desktop and was underwhelmed. I thought it would mimic proper fpv goggles but it really wasn’t all that different from just using my monitor (and even worse resolution)

I can see them wanting to make it somewhat colorful if the idea is to print it out and hang it up on the walls around school. In that case, just plain black and white would be easy to miss

I had a dnd character that had a telescope that could focus the suns energy into a powerful beam. But the drawback was that it only worked during the day. Idk, maybe that’ll be enough of a drawback for ya
