  • Isn't the whole problem that, since nobody openly talks about providers, nobody knows who the originals are? Of course, everyone can claim to be the guy at the top, but who knows?

  • The weird thing about the war, at least in my little American bubble is that despite the "overwhelming feeling the west has to capitulate eastern Ukraine" or any of it is... Most people I talk to barely know there's a war going on over there. They certainly don't understand why. The war fatigue everyone keeps claiming does not apply. I'm starting to believe it's manufactured. Certainly, the politicians are fighting, because the Reps don't want the Dems to look like they defeated Russia. That would put them right back in office. Maybe things are different in Europe, but if I stay off the internet, there are no signs of what the media keeps talking about. Occasionally, I see a Ukrainian flag in a window, but I'd wager half the people who see that flag have no idea what country it is.

  • Alternatively, it could be that Russia is refusing trades. Everyone knows that Russia can "out - meat" Ukraine, and they've just installed a system in which (civilian) prisoners in Russia will be voluntold to serve. We all know that Wagner was doing something similar, but now the MoD will be doing it, en masse.

    The Pinto situation

So... Suspended 41 games. Possibly a blessing in disguise, but wtf happened? Had to be betting on his own games, right? Anything less, and the punishment seems too harsh.

Does using the -arrs use insane amounts of disk space?

The only way I can see switching my Luddite family off of the streaming sites is by making it easier. Up until now, I've torrented the old fashioned way, but now I'm moving into plex (ik, ik, jellyfin is better) and want to start using the -arrs. As I understand it, which I'm not sure I do, the -arrs will automatically grab torrents. In my mind, this would eat up a TB pretty quickly. Do you guys all have massive SSDs (heh), or am I misunderstanding?

You and an old friend catch up at a restaurant. When the bill comes, how do you make sure the poor waiter takes your card?

I usually whisper, "I'll flip every table in this joint if you don't take my card, including the one with that child at it", and while it has a 100% success rate, I can't help but feel terrible about it, later. What are some alternatives?
