Does that make the marmite on [email protected] Ernie?

I guess I'm still a bit confused. My sites current version is v.0.19.9 The current lemmy release version is v0.19.11. I'm getting this:
From https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy-ansible
* [new branch] ansible-galaxy-install -> origin/ansible-galaxy-install e4f2728..3f0e6c7 main -> origin/main You are not currently on a branch. Please specify which branch you want to merge with. See git-pull(1) for details. git pull <remote> <branch>
Lemmy ansible upgrade what is version_name ?
The ansible instructions state to run
git pull && git checkout version_name
but I don't understand what url to put there.
https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy-ansible/blob/main/UPGRADING.md

They look good. Take a look at the rules on [email protected] I have had fewer issues since I reccomended other communities for topics not appropriate for the community.

My advice for moderation is to make a clear and robust set of rules. This eliminates a lot of issues from the start. The most difficult part of running a community is growing the community.

What brand filter did you go with?

My conspiracy theory is that thaey know that meteor is going to hit the u.s. and they plan to take whatever they can and bounce to Russia.

Well come on down to [email protected]

[email protected] might have something to say about this.

I wouldn't care if I had to use multiple messanger apps. There used to be a pc program that let you login to msn, irc, and yahoo messanger all at once and manage your accounts in one place.

i have dissasembled batteries to recharge the 81650 cells inside then reassemble. If they drop below a certain threshhold then the protection circuit won't charge them. I have a special charger/tester for lithium cells and a battery tab welder. It's only worth it if the replacement is unavailable and it's for something very rare.

Connect for lemmy it's on android.

Also on the connect app. It has had so many great updates lately.

[email protected] got a flurry of posts after nearly two weeks of inactivity. [email protected] has been getting regular posts and we're at over 500 subscribers.
I'm considering a safety focused community called "safety" or likewise to promote safety where people can post about near misses and lessons learned and have a monthly or weekly safety topic.

I've been considering making /c/safety or something like that on dullsters.net with posts about safety topucs and near misses.

Soon you'll be running a homelab and browsing selfhosted.

I got one on dullsters.net I hope it's not some kind of vulnerability.

Well, did you turn on the tap so she could get a drink? It looks like that's what she wants.
Who and what belongs here?

You can come to [email protected] or [email protected] where i have personally made a post about tea.

There's a bunch of places if you search. Facebook doesn't give a crap about it.

User banned by instance mod shows "Banned by moderator" on mine.
I saw that a user was banned by moderator on my instance and their comments removed. I don't have a moderator, it's just me, I'm the only user. I thought I accidently fumble fingrred the ban button and restored their comments and appologize. Come to find out that they were banned from their own instance.
I'm not sure how I feel about that. On one hand it's good if it's a really bad user posting spam or worse. On the other hand it is a conduit for censorship. If an admin doesn't like what you post on another instance, then they can censor you everywhere. On top of that, it makes it look like I am banning people, and I don't like that at all if they're just making normal comments. It should say something else and I should get some kind of alert that lets me know so that I can decide if the comments on my instance are appropriate.

New instance and community for dull people.

I created a whole new dull instance for dull people.

I created an instance for a specific community
I created [email protected] a few months ago and then started seeing contraversies around moderation policies and federation that just don't apply to the type of content on dull mens club so I decided to make an instance solely to host that community.
I'm not sure if this has happened yet, but I like the idea of having a neutral instance that users can still visit regardless of what happens. There's no user signups, only admin/moderator accounts. Users have to use an account from a federated instance.

I created [email protected]
I created the popular [email protected] several months ago.
In the interest of decentralization, I decided to create an independent instance.
The dull mens club community will stay active, but please visit us at the new one.

The current community here on world will stay open. I have no plans of shutting it down unless the community decides it should.
Thank you all again for creating such a wondetful place,I look forward to seeing the community continue to grow.

I created a Lemmy instance and the future of this community.
I've created a new Lemmy instance at dullsters.net
When I created this community several months ago I had no aspirations of it becoming much of anything. In a short amount of time it has grown to over 1500 subscribers and is one of the top recommended non-political communities. I am always looking forward to the posts that are shared here, and the unique culture being developed.
I see the importance of the decentralized aspect of the Fediverse. We frequently see drama surrounding moderation and federation policies. None of that applies to the content in this community.
I have no qualms with admins running their site the way they want to and they are often placed in difficult positions. However, this is one of the true places of neutrality on the Fediverse and it should remain that way.
In the few months this community has existed there have been maybe a half dozen moderation actions taken. You have remained, for the most part, very dull, and I thank you for that.

How to get email to work?
Do I need to do anything to get emails to send from my lemmy instance? I have the site up and running, but emails won't send. I'm using Digital Ocean as my server provider.
Difference in config.hjson with ansible
Edit: the issue was cloudflare proxy. If you're using cloudflare for dns, turn off proxying if you're using lets encrypt.
I must be doing something wrong, because when i run the playbook I get an unconfigured nginx page at the ip of my server.
The instruction docs for ansible states:
Do not edit anything inside the {{ }} braces.
https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy-ansible/blob/main/examples/config.hjson
however that config file points to:

How would you take a pov video like this without attaching the camera to your body?

I'm watching this video: https://youtu.be/2VujUm6K-IU
At times he is working with his hands with the camera directly on front of him while using both hands to work. The camera never moves or gets bumped. In one shot he is hitting something with a hammer. Is he just hugging a tripod carefully? Using a boom? I'm scratching my head.

Make sure to visit the real Dull Men's Club website!
This is a tad embarrassing. You see, I thought that I was merely copying a popular Facebook group. I was unaware that Dull Men's Club was an official club. Please give the site a peruse as it is quite a delight!

Where can I promote my new community? I already posted on New Communities on world.
It's [email protected] btw.
