Shit like this just screams "bad company" to an applicant. Especially since some companies are always hiring because of tax breaks and other shady benefits, not because of actual openings. Such a waste.
They got gigs by connections! Same is still true today. Personal connections get you the gig.
But in the before times, no one had social media. Nowadays everyone has it and is almost a necessity for a musician to get their voice and music out there. You're losing out if you don't have a "portfolio" through your socmed accounts.
Oh the planet will survive. It's us and everything we love that won't.

As a gigging musician in the Philippines, Meta apps like Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger are some of the most important social media platforms to promote my work and to connect to potential clients.
I hate Meta and I hate that I have no choice on the Meta AI shit they've rolled out. But worse of all, I hate that I have no choice but to use Meta for my livelihood. There's just no alternative.

Ohhh boy and he's not the only celebrity to do it. Out here, politics is unfortunately a realistic career path for famous people especially those who are fading out of the spotlight.
What worries me is that the influx of celebrities and influencers entering politics will drown out the legitimate ones especially the ones from the labor and indigenous sector.

Job openings like these are messing things up for creatives who specialize in one area.
Now everyone looks for video editors who do audio. No more jobs for sound guys.
If you do graphic design, you are now expected to do animation and web design as well. Some even want you to do social media and video.
People who post things like these only want to save a buck. Heck that's why they outsource the jobs in say the Philippines and India. They don't want to pay their local rates.
And some Asian folks like this too because the going rate is higher than local rate here.
But it's literally ruining the livelihood of people in other fields.
