  • We needed to act with urgency when this horror started over a year ago. We failed.

But you know, the best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago, the second best time is now.

We still won't do it though.

As individuals, all we can do is boycott Israel, protest our own governments' inaction and if you ever see Netanyahu, spit in the bastard's face.

  • No it's fine! I think if you stick you fingers in your ears and shout "project fear!" a few times into the mirror you will summon the spirit of Boris Johnson to get brexit done and give you £350 million a week for the NHS

  • I would absolutely not travel to America while Trump is in power. I've wanted to visit again since his first term, but fuck the extra border hassle (+ now the risk of getting sent to gitmo or El Salvador or god knows where for criticizing dear leader) and also fuck supporting an economy he will take credit for.

I feel bad for all the businesses who did nothing wrong. But we live in capitalism and I can't vote/protest there so 🤷‍♂️

  • Yeah I never post on reddit but Severance is 90% of the reason I ever want to. Not sure if there is a community here and I would feel weird posting hyper specific theories/discussions on a more general community for TV shows or whatever

  • Yeah I know. "Privately" should probably have been "quietly." Of course you may say it wasn't quiet, sure, but I think the meaning is clear. Telling them off with the right hand while the left is busy dropping more weapons into their lap. Just enough deniability for anyone who insists the democrats do nothing wrong.

  • The thread itself is such a stupid gotcha as well. "Oh if you like Ukraine so much go die in Donetsk!" Lol no bro there is such a huge gulf between "we should help Ukranians fight for their freedom with military equipment/funding" and "I personally will die for Ukraine" that the point doesn't even get off the ground

  • If someone broke into your home and destroyed all the food, and blockaded you from leaving or anything from getting in, wouldn't it be obvious they were trying to kill you?

So how could this not be an intentional act of genocide? And now we have Trump they will be cheered on if anything

  • If you get "detained" for no crime, you have been taken hostage. The media refusing to call them what they are is part of the problem

And these hostages are being tortured:

“I am talking about clubbing, being beaten with rifle butts and being attacked by dogs. There was little to no food, no personal hygiene, no soap inside the cells, no water, no toilet, no toilet paper … I saw people who were dying there … I was beaten so badly I couldn’t use my legs or walk. No day passes without torture.”

  • “He told me he is not anti-vaccine. He is pro-vaccine safety, which strikes me as a rational position to take,” Senator John Cornyn told Politico.

This is the oldest trick in the book. "No I'm not anti-vaccine, I'm pro safe vaccines!" Then proceeds to explain how none are "safe" and we "need more research"

  • Yeah it's not a very practical decision to vote Green in a two party system. But honestly if you are unwilling to vote for parties enabling genocide I'm not really going to criticise too much. Voters with conscience aren't to blame, the parties are.

  • Another chapter in "ugh everyone is upset about current thing so I need to show how much smarter I am."

Biden providing weapons to Israel is fucking shitty and he has blood on his hands that will never wash off.

Elon Nazi saluting is also fucking shitty and a sign that there will be more blood that won't wash off over the next four years.

So how in the fuck can you understand the seriousness of one and dismiss the other as a "hand gesture"? Fucking pathetic. Like if someone says "I am going to kill all non whites" and you're all "oh why are you so bothered about sound waves in the air instead of [thing I care more about]?"

Congratulations, YouTuber. You are indeed the smartest. Well done

  • The author seems to think that if we're mad about the Nazi salute we aren't mad about the other stuff. Like does saying "yes it was obviously a Nazi salute you dumb fuck" stop me from standing up for people's rights or showing courage when it's needed? Of course not.

This is what happens to commentators when they have to say something that seems smart but actually have no point to make. The salute is a wake up call for the unengaged and an easy way to see what is really happening. But that doesn't make for a holier than thou think piece so the author doesn't give a shit.

Debating it is pointless though. Just show people the video and if they are still connected to reality at all there is no discussion needed.

    Masters of War

    You fasten all the triggers

    For the others to fire

Then you sit back and watch

While the death count gets higher

    You hide in your mansion

    While the young people's blood

    Flows out of their bodies

And is buried in the mud

    You've thrown the worst fear

    That can ever be hurled

    Fear to bring children

    Into the world

    For threatenin my baby

    Unborn and unnamed

    You ain't worth the blood

    That runs in your veins

Israel’s Self-Destruction: Netanyahu, the Palestinians, and the Price of Neglect

    Archive: http://archive.today/Zm9yl

One bright day in April 1956, Moshe Dayan, the one-eyed chief of staff of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), drove south to Nahal Oz, a recently established kibbutz near the border of the Gaza Strip. Dayan came to attend the funeral of 21-year-old Roi Rotberg, who had been murdered the previous morning by Palestinians while he was patrolling the fields on horseback. The killers dragged Rotberg’s body to the other side of the border, where it was found mutilated, its eyes poked out. The result was nationwide shock and agony.

If Dayan had been speaking in modern-day Israel, he would have used his eulogy largely to blast the horrible cruelty of Rotberg’s killers. But as framed in the 1950s, his speech was remarkably sympathetic toward the perpetrators. “Let us not cast blame on the murderers,’’ Dayan said. “For eight years, they have been sitting in the refugee camps in Gaza, and before their eyes we have been transformi
