Day 290 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games l've been playing

Today's screenshot is some more Oblivion. I finished the Arena Questline today and spent all day doing it. I did the quest for the Grand Champion, completely forgetting it makes him throw the match and now i feel a little bad for the guy. I was just trying to help.

The lighting for the arena is gorgeous though, especially at night. That's when the above screenshot was taken and it looks great.

I also bought the Adoring fan a house as a peace offering. I leave him here and let him do his thing, and i get to continue on with my day in peace. Bonus points because i get free storage too.

As

  • It's amazing how good it looks. It's honestly one of my favorite remasters in recent memory

  • On an older run on a shared save me and a friend did a Priest we called Father John. His whole thing was that he was the town crazy man trying to get everyone to join his cult, and he was in prison for spreading his gospel on the streets in the beginning. We ended up making him basically a diet knight with a custom class. The way the game is set up really makes it easy to RP lol

  • i know how you feel lol. I actually picked up Starfield on discount because i really wanted to give it a try myself, but ended up giving in to the oblivion remaster and playing that

  • It's a very good game, so i wouldn't blame you for thinking that lol. A family member is paying for Xbox Gamepass just to stream the game too so i get the GeForce

Today's game is some more of the Oblivion Remaster. I went ahead and finally put the Arena quest on hold for a minute to finally go help close the first Oblivion Gate.

The remastered oblivion gate design is really cool. It has this depth thing going on with it and I tried jumping into it like the Mario 64 paintings despite knowing that they haven't changed the way they work. I wonder if it would be possible to make a mod that makes it work in that way or if it would run into engine limitations.

After the gate though, i went back and did the Arena some more. Because god forbid my character do anything other than that for longer than a day. When i entered the Arena the first thing i'm met with is this guy half-naked and practicing archery. Not the outfit i'd pick for Arena battles, but mo

  • Damn. These are all really sick photos. I’ll have to add the UI Removal mod. I think I saw the one you’re talking about while googling if there is a photo mode

  • Lmao. That’s my character’s arms from the debug cam. I forgot to say that I used it there too. I was going to point out that you can see my character

Today's game is the Oblivion Remaster. I picked it up yesterday and let it install while i slept since it was an 8 hour install for me. My first impressions are that it's a really faithful remaster. And i don't mean the Gameplay either, though the tech behind it is interesting to me due to the og code being underneath. The art style is what I'd imagine oblivion looking like if made with modern tools, minus the saturation being cranked up to 10 in the original and a few graphical discrepancies I've seen online such as the Night Mother's two new children. I have one complaint so far personally and that is that they gave Glarthir a beard, which i'm not a fan of. That's more of a personal complaint though.

The Graphical detail of this is really cool. It's what i felt like playing the old g

  • I actually discovered his channel on complete accident a few months ago. The funny part is i had all Cursed Halo, The Desert Map, and the Minecraft ones all installed installed and never realized they were all made by the same guy until i found his channel

Day 287 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games l've been playing

Today's game is Halo MCC. I picked up the Oblivion Remaster today and another game i heard about called "The Quiet Man". Reviews are bad, but it was $2 and i'd be lying if the concept didn't seem a little interesting to me. I had anticipated Oblivion to be done today but it's way larger than i was expecting. I'm trying to avoid reading about the opinion of the game until i've gotten to sink a few hours in for myself, but i have heard that the Game uses compression so i'm curious what takes up all that space.

Moving back to Halo, me and my friends played around with some Workshop maps. We did a set of Minecraft Maps mostly. The one taken above was from Juggernaut. It was the last match we played for the day. The map was a bit too small for comfortable play and every time you spawned back in you were thrown into the middle of Combat, but it was still a lot of fun.

  • I honestly haven't stopped to consider it. The Wind in this game has a lot of detail too it, so i wouldn't at all be surprised if the clouds were Dynamic. I've also noticed that the Sky can be clear sometimes to depending on weather/season. But that could be just a region of the texture or there are a few different textures. if i had to take a guess i'd say it's dynamic though. Ubisoft cheaps out on a few things, but graphics doesn't seem to be one of them

Day 286 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games l've been playing

Today's game is Assassin's Creed Shadows. I finished the main story today and i was expecting to be done today. I got sidetracked though after i found this interesting quest where i'm hunting Yokai. I plan on playing through it tomorrow, so today may be the last screenshot from the game, don't be surprised if tomorrow you see this game one last time though.

After beating the story i got Naoe's Master Assassin Robes, which is something i'm actually really happy to get. Seeing the Master Assassin Robes of the protagonist is one of my favorite parts of a AC Game. They're this really cool red silk material and have a white pattern on them. Overall i really like their design. A fairly memorable design for me, though Arno's still remains the most memorable to me.

  • That's definitely the mindset i try to have when i go in to do these. Just having fun and sharing the parts i like

Day 285 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games l've been playing

Today's game is Assassin's Creed Shadows. I finally finished up Act 2 today, and i'm pretty sure i'm close to finished with Act 3. The above screenshot i got in a sidequest for Naoe where she goes through her heritage and discovers the past of the brotherhood, and i get some sick ass robes that i'm like 90% sure is inspired by Ezio. This is all essential stuff for Act 3 as far as i understand. I feel like it would have been better interspersed with Act 2 to help with the monotony, but it was still a cool moment. Especially because i had some fears that the Assassin Brotherhood plot line was being dropped to the side.

    Pictures of Animals

Before i start lore dumping though, here's a cool shark i found. It was swimming in the ocean while i was wandering around in the Obama region (No, tha

  • The animals are my favorite part of sharing with this game. I took a picture of a Stingray and some sort of Shark today while i was playing and i've already decided that i want to use on of them in today's post

  • I could definitely see them being inspired by the same creature. they have that same kind of ambience to them. I believe all the Legendary Sumi-e in the game are based on Mythology too in some way (i can't say for certain though), so i wouldn't say it's too far of a reach

Day 284 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games l've been playing

Today is some more Assassin's Creed Shadows. I had the entire day free today so i spent all my time doing some side stuff in this game. I had the window cracked and a nice brisk breeze was blowing in, so it was a 10/10 gaming session.

I went and got the last Legendary Sumi-e i need. It was this pretty Deer with a tree for horns. I meant for it to be the first one i got but i completely missed it the first spring. So now i finally managed to get it. This one was the prettiest out of all of them. The others were a Silver Fox, a Tanuki with a pile of gold, and three Monkeys. The only one that comes close in my opinion is the Silver Fox, as it was just as beautiful as the deer. But i far more favor the glowing antlers of this one.

Along my way to see the deer, i was collecting a collectible

  • I’ll have to check it out. The game is definitely something I’m interested in after I saw Obsidian made a Fallout New Vegas themed poster for it to celebrate the release

  • I wouldn’t have minded an optional Co-Op campaign to play with my friends, but the PvP multiplayer I can’t really see myself getting into.

  • Yeah. That basically sums it up. Good game. I’m loving it. But if I’m in a Max Payne mood this is probably at the bottom of my list

Day 283 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games l've been playing

Today's game is Max Payne 3. I picked it up for sale today on Steam, and i've been wanting to play it after hearing mixed opinions. I know i probably shouldn't have played it straight away with the other games i'm playing too, but i just couldn't help myself and went straight for it.

My first impressions are that, Gameplay wise, it's an amazing Max Payne Game. I wish i kept Max's Armory on Command instead of the 4 weapons slots or whatever. But it's all really fun too. I now have too watch where i lunge now to make sure i don't crash into things to give it a bit more challenge. I can still lunge through doors and mow down the room, but i still have to be a little more calculated about it.

Story wise though, i'm a bit mixed on. I'm really liking the story, just not as a Max Payne sto

  • Oblivion i really want to pick up soon. I played the OG and loved it, and would love to go for a second playthrough on a remaster with all DLC and some QOL changes. I just heard about Clair Obscura today though. I still need to look into it but it sounds interesting

Day 282 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games l've been playing

Today's game is some more Assassin's Creed Shadows. I did a tomb that i passed by on my way to track down some missing Priests. This section above with the tree reminded me of a previous Screenshot i did in Far Cry 3 (A game i still need to go back and finish) of a temple in a cave with a tree. Coincidentally this cave also had a ton of Grappling Points around it like in a Far Cry game.

I also went hunting for one of the last few legendary Sumi-e's i need for a achievement. This one was of a bird that was nearby this pond that was really pretty. The water was really clear and i spent just a little bit splashing around in it since i had some time to kill before the bird spawned.

  • Definitely how i'm feeling with this game now. The opening was really good, but the middle is disconnected and very hard for me to get attached to the story. It definitely brings it down a point for me, which sucks because besides that i really enjoy the game.

  • Completely forgot about that with Ghost of Tsushima. I loved that game but by the third act i was ready for it to end

Day 281 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games l've been playing

Today's game is Assassin's Creed Shadows. Taking a break and going to Arkham City (And 100% the base story) was definitely worth it.i think i was starting to get burnt out a little. Ubisoft made a fun game, but it's way to big for it's own good.

I did a quest where i had to rescue kidnapped Envoys. Having been playing a bit of Arkham lately i instinctively found myself trying to block and stuff with it's control scheme. It took me a minute to get the hang of it again. The moment i loaded my save i entered a fight and was basically flopping around like a fish trying to remember how to dodge.

After rescuing the Envoy i had to recover a letter for peace talks. It took me up through the mountains and i got to look at all the pretty trees and see some lovely sights.

Day 280 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games l've been playing

I went ahead and finished up Arkham City today. Initially i was on the fence about doing the riddler trophies, and while i was deciding i started doing a few, and then before i knew it i had literally all of theme except like 8 catwoman trophies and the combat ones done. Since i'm already so close, im just going to try and 100% it because as far as i know it's just Harley Quinn's and Riddler DLCs left after the campaign, and i imagine they can't take that long.

Yesterday i listed a bunch of things that scared me (in a good way), but one thing that scared the shit out of me when i was little was the Mad Hatter quest Batman. There was nothing psychological about it, the Rabbit Batman mask just freaked the fuck out of little me. Still does to an extent. It's just very unsettling. The ques

  • I do not hear enough love for Cold Cold Heart. It's an awesome retelling of Freeze's Origin story, and for me only really topped by his BtAS version

Day 279 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games l've been playing

Today's game is Arkham City. I've knocked out a major chunk of the game in a time span of a few hours and i'm close to the end. I just have to do Wonder Tower and then joker i believe. Somehow though it feels like it hasn't been that long. I mean, i only have 9 hours logged on the game. it's surprising how fast it's going, maybe i'm just used to modern games not being limited in length by Disc size like back in the 360 days though.

With how much i knocked out of the story, it gives me an excuse to talk about one of my favorite all time boss fights in gaming. That being Mister Freeze's. The Arkham combat and the cycle of him coming up with counters each time you do a take down is super satisfying. When i was younger this boss fight was so intimidating that i just couldn't play it because you were in constant flight mode basically, and even now it has m

Day 278 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games l've been playing

Today i played some more of the Modded Minecraft Server i setup. Since last time i posted this i moved my ship halfway across the world. There turned out to be a island in the way though so i slapped a bunch of balloons on top after using Sheep and Create to make the balloons, and i flew it to my new base location. It was honestly a bit fun, i wasn't sure i'd be a fan of the Airship idea because i wanted to stay grounded with my build, but after i didn't have to deal with any Ice and Fire dragons i was a fan. Plus being able to slap on Cruise Control and let this thing fly itself is nice.

I also got a Forge through Tinker's Construct setup. With this badboy (which is 14x14) i can smelt so many ingots. It may be overcompensating though as i don't think i can see myself using a smelter of this size. The challenge of hunting down a mesa for clay and wait

A friend picked up a copy of Halo MCC yesterday, so we introduced him with Halo 3. We got a group of 4, and eventually 5 together and did a multitude of different game modes. One of the first we did was Juggernaut on Epitaph.

The entire battle ended up staying contained to the little balcony in the screenshot. We'd spawn in, make a break for the balcony, and then kill the juggernaut before having it stolen from ourself.

Our match ended with us all accidentally killing each other at the same time. I hadn't even noticed this until going back through the theater for screenshots, but i though

Today's game is Assassin's Creed Shadows. I didn't do any of the main story today and just focused on one of the Legendary Sumi-e. I'm currently in the Autumn Season so it was the fox that i could capture.

I didn't have any synchronization points out in the Region it was in so i had to teleport to one nearby. The one i picked was an Onsen nearby which had this river running through it.

I accidentally took the wrong marker though and went the complete opposite direction than where i meant to go, so instead i went to a synchronization point in the north. It was a waste of time, but i did get

Day 275 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games l've been playing

Me and a Friend, after months of putting it off, finally managed to get a modded Minecraft server for me and my friends working with a proper domain and everything. I cut Aternos loose because i'm not a fan of the ads and the limited specs. The upside of this is that i now have a server powerful enough to run Eureka, which is like the old Archimedes Ship mod. One of the very first things i did upon spawning in is go and build a ship, which is what you see above.

My hope is too use it as a portable base for the time being until i can get too somewhere i'd like to build a base. We also have Create Cannons and Ice and Fire (at the request of one of my friends), so i want to outfit this thing with cannons to fight ice and fire dragons because those things are annoyingly strong. I have a few mockups for planes too, so hopefully i can get to the point where i can go over the dragons instead.

Today's game is AC Shadows. I got started on the the last 2 targets of Act 2 today. It took me to the eastern region of the game, which is covered in this pretty forests with lanterns.

It was also home to quite a few shrines, which are my favorite locations in this game because it blends the nature and the architecture together really well. Of course, this shrine was the same size as all the others. You want to know what shrine wasn't the same size as all the others?

Today's game is Halo Infinite. I managed to drag my friend and a few siblings out to play a few matches with me and we did a classic 8v8 in matchmaking. The screenshot above was taken during one of my favorite kills in the match where i got in a Banshee and rammed a guy under an overpass with it in an improvised kill. (right after that i got it stuck in a cave trying to pull a move i'd always pull in Halo 2)

at another point in the match i nabbed a warthog and got my friend and one of my brothers in with me. We didn't make it far before bumping into a tank and everything going to shit. We ended up being chased by it in a scene that looked like it'd be in an action film, up until we were blasted by a banshee. We all 3 had a lot of fun being chased though. The whole match to be honest was a lot

Day 272 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games l've been playing

I decided to play some more Arkham City today after feeling a little burnt out on AC Shadows. I went through the Museum in it's entirety today.

One thing i found myself notcing was that the entire museum gives me major Arkham Asylum vibes. The small corridors feel very Asylum-esque compared to the external large sprawling city. Another thing i've noticed about this game is it feels really grounded, and then it pulls a sudden fantastical element of sorts on you. Like Solomon Grundy or the clayface boss.

Going through the museum was a lot of fun. I actually stopped to look at a lot of the exhibits and fliers lying around, such as this one on the ground of a T-Rex.

Or this one of the hyenas (granted, these were also p
