You know what?
Their body, their choice.
I support their right to choose to drink or inject bleach into their own body.
I wish them the best of luck.
Well, one line of my comment was about her being part of the CIA torture apparatus. The rest detailed how she, personally and with the help of the Democratic Party, did fascist things like subvert the will of the people by preventing real political choice.
This isn’t a situation where we can pick the lesser of two evils and hold our nose. I’m outright saying she’s part of the problem — so fuck her and her insistence that we focus on only the kings they want us to be concerned about. And fuck her desire to step away from our moral duty to protect others from discrimination.
I will not abandon my principles for word games.
I went looking for the alt text because, well, I love the Easter-egg nature of the alt text he provides. Got chills as soon as I realized what he’d done.
So much respect for him.
Is he really an illegal immigrant? And is he guilty of the crime that he was in the hearing for?
If he’s here illegally, then deport him. If he’s here legally, let him have his trial, and let the rule of law prevail by meting out whatever justice is deemed necessary. Sure, a crime may invalidate a visa or legal standing or whatever, but you still have to have the damned trial. Innocent until proven guilty.
Trying to arrest him at his pre-hearing to rendition him is fucking wrong. And trying to punish the judge for trying to block that miscarriage of justice from happening is doubly so.
Ah , see, that take is rationalizing. She’s a former CIA torturer who worked under Bush. Within Michigan she once moved into a lobbyists house to avoid getting primaried after redistricting. (The lobbyist’s house was in a safe democrat area that the Democrat party did not field a local candidate for.) Her ascension to state senator was equally questionable - all the other candidates dropped out after meeting with party officials.
It’s clear she’s the Democrats new Joe Manchin, put there to avoid progress and force concessions if they ever win a plurality. All the Michiganders I know vehemently hate her.
She also is only in office because she kept district hopping to avoid getting primaried until she was up for a senate seat, whereupon the Democratic Party pushed out or made concessions to all the other better candidates so they would drop. She’s widely reviled.
Oh, you’re right - I recalled the article and just grabbed the first one that fit when I skimmed it.
I think my point that this is a clear message that the regulators are unable to regulate right now is still valid, but I will update my previous comment for clarity.
Since you’re bringing up language points, I’m wondering if you’d be willing to take a left turn with me.
What are your thoughts about applying the phrase “extraordinary rendition” to their situation?
I feel that it’s appropriate, but I haven’t seen anyone using it.
Where the fuck did USPS get those super-powerful electromagnets from and how do they know to use them to manipulate impossibly heavy packages!?!

No idea, man. I just saw that thing in the company warehouse and started pressing buttons
But now it’s not just milk and the legally allowed amount of blood, pus, urine, dirt, fecal matter, cleaning agents, and the things the FDA USDA found and did nothing about.
Now it’s an unambiguous statement that unknown quantities of unknown substances in your food will not trigger enforcement actions! (Regardless of the regulating body)
It’s brainworm infested bear meat.
Larry David's response to Bill Maher's meeting with Trump
I don’t know what sort of dirt Bill has, but he’s got to have some sort of leverage over at HBO, given how fucking hard they try to push his show onto people.
Single-handedly, his show has made me wish there was a ‘block show’ feature so I never have to see his stupid face again.
And it has nothing to do with the expiry on the special appointment coming up where Trump will either have to make him a real federal employee with all the legal exposure that confers or let him go.
As others have pointed out, he’s already compromised systems, downloaded what data he could for Peter Thiel/Palantir, broken those organizations to the furthest extent he is able, and likely will have continued access to the data through illegal means in the future for himself/his handlers.
He’s not ‘leaving politics’ because those mean liberals, he’s leaving because as a useful idiot, he’s fulfilled his use and maybe realized he was being used as an idiot, but likely not.
I found out from the ‘dies of cringe’ meme, then shared that on to my wife and her best friend, telling them that was how I found out - and that’s how they found out.
I bear the same name as my father and his father. They both died when I was a young - over 30 years ago. I sometimes still get texts asking me if I’d like to “sell my house at [the address of my grandfather’s house that sold when he died in 1989].”
If the best that data miners can do is text me because they think I’m a 100+ year-old, then Musk’s sloppy efforts are going to be even worse.
Waiting for the day I get arrested for not having paid my own child support.
Oh, snap, bringing me the magic I need, but didn’t know to look for.
I’ve been refusing to update because of video station. Looks like I’m saving your comment for later.
Yeah, well two days ago I made little ramekin sized cheesecakes with no bake cheesecake, chocolate mousse, and a graham cracker crust as a nice gesture and it had the opposite effect.
So, suck it, you cracker-lovin’ kill-joys!
Hehe. Horny Grahams.

No, because there isn’t a single IP range or user agent, and many developers are going to lengths to defeat anti-scraping measures, which include user agent spoofing as well as vpns and the like to mask the source of the traffic.
It helps because just like all the things Reagan destroyed, the American people will never be able to get those things back. Even when they do vote in politicians that pretend to represent them, the U.S. political system is too easily swayed with donor money to allow in things that truly benefit people again.
And if the government can close or sell facilities by the time sane policies prevail again (if they ever do), then it still benefits ‘them’, because the government can’t just create land and buildings from nothing. The only places they would be able to do that are new towns and rural areas. (White flight areas and conservative areas) So, you know, destroyed government services can’t even be reliably recreated in population-dense areas. (Cities - liberal areas)
I mean, it doesn’t help normal people, but it sure helps all the businesses that trade well-being for dollars. They’re going to do great.

I oiled my box knives today
I keep two old box knives in the kitchen junk drawer. One has a regular blade on it, and the other has a hooked blade because I think they’re safer and run less risk of damaging the stuff inside the box. But sometimes, you just need a regular box knife. They’re both old and handle rough, but they have seen a lot of use.
Last night I was painting. While trimming some masking tape against a hard edge I realized the blade on the regular box knife was a bit dull, so I went to change it. While flipping the blade around to the unused side, I noticed there were no more spare blades in the handle.
Today I bought a new pack of blades. They purport to be better quality and will stay sharper longer than the original set of blades that came with the knife, but I guess we’ll see how that holds up with use.
While adding the new blades into the handle, I decided to go ahead and clean up both knives - get all the tape residue out, and clean the internals. Then I gave the slightly rusty pa
