  • Should be noted that to my understanding it only restricts visibility of this account on the official bluesky client. And only inside turkey. the accounts are not banned. the owners can still access them.

And third party clients (which can ignore the moderation-labels) can still see and interact with those accounts just fine. even inside turkey.

It still sucks that they bend the knee though.

  • Fun fact: Cutaneous respiration (aka "Skin breathing") is something we humans do too. But it accounts only for 1% to 2% of our oxygen input.

However, the cornea of our eyes doesn't have its own blood vessels to supply it. Therefore, it relies on direct gas exchange with the environment—in other words, skin respiration.

    Our eyes breath like bees.

  • I was going to say Lutris since that is what i'm using since forever for GOG Games. It even has it directly integrated nowadays and can be connected to your GOG account to basically one-click install the games you own.

But since everybody else here writes "Heroic"! i guess i have to give that a try now..

  • Thank you for your tireless work in keeping this place running and thus providing me with a steady supply of new content so I don't have to resort to more drastic measures like reading a book or going outside.

  • I used it for a long time years ago and it is indeed very great. But its only maintainer stopped around 2021/2022 because he got a new job or something along that line. As far i see he partially returned later but is still looking for more contributors. so the future of the project is not really secure. e.g. see https://github.com/nomacs/nomacs/issues/987

So more eyes on Nomacs would be indeed good.

  • That may still work for the young ones, but the olders are beyond saving. We tried to educate them, and they refused. They called evidence-based knowledge "conspiracies" and new ideas "woke liberal trash".

The days of being nice and diplomatic are over. It did not work. Like-minded people are threatened with deportation and death.

We have reached the point of active self-defense.

  • Who is "we"?

e.g. Germany already produces 60% of its power reneweable. The plan is 100% by 2030-2035. And the prices for reneweables are already far below the ones for nuclear.

So why throw 10 billion euro into building a nuclear power plant that delivers 1 Gigawatt when you build reneweables for 1 billion that delivers 10 Gigawatt?

Time & time again people can't comprehend that companies need revenue to survive, especially for Mozilla's sake, their > transparency has only harmed them by letting ignorant people see things like this & blindly make assumptions.

The team behind Mozilla is insanely under paid & under appreciated, please keep up the amazing work. ❤

I agree with this. Developers need to eat and pay rent too.

Reading shit like "fuck Mozilla" and "Mozilla is dead" pisses me off extremely. That is just ignorant.

  • 20% is 1/5. It is still too much but not the end. 80% did not vote for them. And the left go stronger too and keeps growing. This is the beginn of the fight, not the end.

Edit: I take it back. FUCK THE CDU!

Richard Stallman Reveals He has Cancer at GNU 40 year anniversary conference

I wish Richard Stallmann all the best and many many more years to come.

His reveal starts at timestamp 02:00.

I wanted to link the original video from https://audio-video.gnu.org/video/gnu40/rms-gnu40.webm, but the server seems overloaded. I try to download it and host it on Peertube when i get the chance. For now i have to link a random source on Youtube unfortunately. (did not link to piped because that breaks the thumbnail..)
