Hope there will be a China version -> they did one for first book, before Netflix released their own. It was much longer (30 episodes) and in what I remembered from the book did a pretty good job adapting it. Netflix changed a lot of things and condensed it a lot. Reading the book you would ask yourself a lot why some thing happened, how it was possible and if it really was what you were hinted to think.

I guess this way you can also use it for manga or any other medium that sometimes use both page to display something.

It's for fedora but maybe this link could help : https://fostips.com/hardware-acceleration-video-fedora/?amp=1
It did for me. I replaced mesa drivers for my amd card.

New refugee from Windows / Need advices about image system backup, excel, vscode
Hey there I am another refugee from windows with the forced push to windows 11. I thought it was time I tried once again linux. So far I am pretty satisfied.
I installed Fedora with KDE and successfully migrated my syncthing server, sftp server. Correctly mounted my nft disks and successfully installed mullvad with all split tunneling I needed.
Now I need advices about 3 things which I sorely miss and which keep forcing me to boot on windows :
- is there any equivalent to macrium reflect, allowing to schedule weekly image backup for system disk. So it could be restored in case something really goes wrong.
My system disk is brtfs. Time machine looks nice but it's not working because I have no @home and @root volume identified. I found explanations which explain how to do it but I am not too sure it's a good idea to do so.
I also found rsync. Didn't explore enough this solution but I am not sure an image backup can be done if system is running ? - for vscode it's easy and I g

Just a random thought, if there is a need for privacy wouldn't it be possible to create public / private encryption key for users so messages can be encrypted and exchanged.
This way what would be public is that there's an exchange but nobody would be able to know what was said. It would make it at least message content private.
To make it a step further could exchange between servers also use it to encrypt which users exchange private message. I am thinking it could make it fully private then. Only sender and receiver servers could know which users were private messaging.

Best explanation was in Fargate tv shows.
When MC find himself to other side of galaxy in alien spaceships with prisoners escaping he is injected by a little icon robot with nanobot (or something like that) enabling him to understand any language.
Just before he is injected other characters are speaking alien and you don't understand them and gradually (but in a matter of 15/30 secs) after injection you start to hear aliens speaking English. I believe they even specifically speak about the technology.
Look at Species of Farscape #8 – Translator Microbes it is explained better and there is a short video. Too bad you don't see him injected/shot but you got alien explaining how it works.

I don't have the answer, but if you are looking to do something like that you could simply do :
if coin in (25, 10, 5):
Or use a list but I think using a tuple is better as your values are fixed.

Raccoon is also nice.

IMHO it's just that you had problems with your firefox installation. Probably if you had tried a new profile or reset it using troubleshooting menu it would have been the same.
My reco for OP is to try troubleshooting information to clean your profile.

For myself and those wondering what dillo is :
Dillo is a fast and small graphical web browser
Would be nice if people posting would do a minimal effort so people are not forced to open a link to know what it's about...

For now it's only in beta. No stable release exists yet with it. I installed from github repo.

Same for simply allowing to pause on click... Luckily extension exists but it's sad that you need one.

Raccoon for Lemmy recently added such feature

As it is not mentioned by OP : anime site it's speaking about is HiAnime.
Excerpt :
HiAnime, the world's biggest anime piracy streaming site, is now one of the newest additions to the U.S. government's annual list of notorious piracy and counterfeiting markets.

Same reaction here... It shows that for mobile browser Mozilla is more serious about it. Maybe being installed by default and their hegemony on desktop make Google more complacent...

Is it me or the new mysterious character introduced at the end got some lycagon marks ??? It looked a lot like it but I was not sure in term of equipment if it really could be it. Sunraku can't equip anything. 🤔

Swiping on icons or folders to open another app!

And do some comments / recap. I find annoying people just posting link without saying anything. IMHO lemmy is about people opinion not just sharing link.
If you want news links then rss reader, Google news, Flipboard or whatever are what should be used.
Not to say OP didn't do a good work. But Lemmy is better when you are not ending just clicking link to read articles.
So a suggestion would be at minimal to add an AI recap as post comment.

Can't you disable it in settings? On android there is an option to toggle off sponsored shortcuts.
I agree they shouldn't force it on but at least with minimal effort and if it's really annoying it's easy to disable.

Streaming services should be required to provide free access where they are allowed to put ads at the beginning and only once or twice depending length and not cutting a scene. And maybe free access could be limited to a number of episodes.
Anyway my point is be real, some people won't pay because they can't or because you don't want to subscribe to 10 streaming sites. Especially when sometimes there is only one anime, tv shows you are interested in. So real solutions should be found if companies really wants to fight piracy...
For Tv shows piracy has never been so low as when Netflix had reasonable price and was the only one. It offered a real alternative and people where willing to pay for it.
I also believe crunchyroll do a lot of good as it has a quasi monopoly but it's starting to erode with Netflix and Disney starting to get animes. 😕

Not a fan of how it looks but I really enjoyed it!

Using display name for sorting communities in drawer
Communities in left drawer are alphabetically sorted by default. Yet the sort is based on names and not on displayed names. Is there some option that I didn't found to change it? Or could it be fixed or added as an option?
I know I could sort manually but it's not ideal when adding new communities.
For instance [email protected] use "Anime episode discussions" as display name. When I search for my anime subscribed communities I often forget it as the sort looks like it's wrong with what boost display as community name. 😕

Community icon in compact mode
Please make option for displaying community icon works in compact mode. I much prefer this mode but the lack of icons make it difficult to quickly identify community.

Three months after the sudden demise of RARBG numerous well known torrent sites appear to have benefited from a surprise gap in the market.
For those interested in public torrent usage. No surprise, after RARBG closed it's traffic has been mostly transfered to Torrent Galaxy.
