Yup, that's a couple of gadwalls for sure, left one is a female. Lovely photos, and if you'd have told me you took these in the western part of the Netherlands I'd also believe it. We have all the birds, only the parakeet hasn't migrated further inland than Utrecht yet.

Due to the protected nature of these birds the rare sightings here are usually kept well-hidden even in the birding community. I was lucky enough to be tipped off by a local birder and managed to get a few beautiful shots. Such a lovely bird!

I already loved their albums when I discovered them in '16, but once I saw them live i was totally hooked. They've only been getting better since, especially after they dumped their second drummer (rip Eric I miss you but you totally held the other drummer back). Every single show I've seen since was such a blast! More and more jammy too, which I really enjoy.
Also, I saw The Colour Haze last Friday and they were much better love than I expected as well.

Many trees do very well in the shade, as long as their crowns get sun part of the day. Leave some room between buildings and you can easily build 4-6 stories tall and still have trees in between. You can easily fit 20 apartments per acre that way. That's about 3200 apartments. With 3 people per household that's close to 10k people.

Friese partij roept Trump tot de orde: ‘Zonder Fryslân’ geen Verenigde Staten van Amerika’
De Fryske Nasjonale Partij (FNP), een coalitiepartij in de provincie Friesland, heeft in een brief de Amerikaanse president Donald Trump tot de orde geroepen. Trump startte deze week de onderhandelingen met zijn Russische ambtgenoot Vladimir Poetin over het beëindigen van de oorlog in Oekraïne, maar dat doet hij voorlopig zonder Oekraïne zelf en ook zonder Europa.
De FNP zegt bezorgd te zijn over de geopolitieke situatie in de wereld en dan vooral in Europa. Door de historische band tussen Friesland en de Verenigde Staten, vindt fractievoorzitter Gerben van der Mei dat zijn partij zich hierover moet uitspreken. ,,Friesland was in 1782 zo’n beetje de eerste overheid die openlijk de Verenigde Staten als onafhankelijke republiek erkende. Zonder Fryslân geen Verenigde Staten van Amerika. Wij mogen hier dus wel iets van vinden’’, aldus Van der Mei.
De fractie heeft een brief gestuurd aan het Friese college van Gedeputeerde Staten, met het verzoek om de zorgen over te brengen aan het kabin

As a Dutchman, I agree. In fact, I'm pretty sure that ever since we've been increasing our exposure to the written English language, many Dutch people have been adding nonsensical spaces to words that used to be written as compounds. We even call it 'English disease' (along with other anglicisms)
