Sounds scary, but it was literally tiny specks of dust that moved in my pantry. Nothing that was identifiable as an insect. And after the moths died out, they also died out by themselves.

The only thing I ever had were food moths, after leaving an open container of flour out and putting it away after a day. It was pretty disgusting having their larvae crawling around, but luckily there are parasitic wasps you can order that kill their eggs (they look like tiny specks of dust, not normal wasps).
Have you considered getting an anteater as a pet?

Yeah, that one I've definitely heard! I also feel like "streunern" by itself came up before for pets. But never "Streuner", that's reserved for strays.

No, you're right. The important part I wanted to highlight is that the usual way is CSS, not JS. There are a bunch of websites that use JS for this purpose, and probably also many CMSs etc., but doing it using CSS is far more common.
Sure, some websites do that, but it's simply wrong to say "having adaptive view usually requires js". No, it doesn't, usually responsive design doesn't need JS.
If a browser doesn't support media queries, it would just show the desktop version. Media queries have been broadly supported since 2015. It's possible that Wikipedia still targets older browsers, but IMO it would be fine to show the desktop version on mobile browsers older than that.

Rules update & clarification
Hey all! @[email protected] and I wanted to give a quick update on the rules, since we received a couple of questions.
We've tried to clarify rule 3 a bit, now it reads:
3 Don’t spoil people in a way they can’t circumvent - that means no mentions in post titles/comments outside spoiler threads for:
- comics spoilers about something that hasn’t happened in the show
- TV show spoilers if it’s been less than a week since the episode aired
As you can see we've shortened the time a bit to allow better discussion after new episodes, and we've clarified how spoilers should be hidden.
What do you guys think? Does this work for everyone, or is something unclear?

How to change language?
Hey! I'm looking for an alternative to Sync, and Summit looks great.
Unfortunately it defaults to German, and (as is usually the case) the translation isn't great, e.g. the font names are translated (and the translations aren't correct). So I'd like to use English.
But I can't find the setting. I searched for "lang" as well as the German word in the settings, but it seems there's no language selection.
Is there really no way to change your selected language, except for changing your phone language? That would be a bummer.
Please give Sync a bad rating on the Play Store
Let's face it: the app has been abandoned for longer than is acceptable, especially at this price level. It's no longer working correctly on newer Lemmy versions, and there's no indication the dev is still active.
Yes, he worked similarly during Reddit times, but a) Sync was much cheaper back then, and b) Reddit didn't change as much.
Right now, to unsuspecting users Sync seems great given the 4.9 star rating on the Play Store. They'll possibly buy this app before noticing that it's subtly broken.
Please consider giving Sync a bad rating, but if you do so, explain why. Write about the broken functionality, so others don't fall into the same trap.

Since the removal of the DLC, and the fact it's not already in the base game, all assets related to it now appear as grey boxes. Thanks again for that, as it was doubtlessly absolutely necessary to remove the DLC now and not when it's integrated...
