Boycott list for mod abuse and power trips: lemmy.ml, blahaj.zone, lemmy.zip | Warning list: lemmy.ca

  • Only if you have the base amount. And still, for a company of this size, it’s not much

  • ..?

    Jump
  • I mean, it put back the progress on an even more terrorist regime getting nuclear weapons

  • Those cars are really expensive compared to entry level ones, which clearly don’t have fast charging nor big capacity

  • Depends on the car. Waste of resources sure, but it can reduce emissions depending on the car

  • For a lot of people it’s number 7 and I mean, that’s sad

1 is real though, and it can be a pain

There’s also the case where some areas are isolated and there’s no charger nearby and that can be a pain, and yea, that’s not a good spot to be in

Finally, if you can’t charge at home, you’re not really going to save on electricity price compared to fuel, so that’s not the best purchase, and it might be a pain to charge frequently outside if you have an cheap car that charges slowly

  • Whenever I see a % data, I always believe the actual amount is really low. It just means on Saturday there were 4x the amount of uninstalls compared to every other day, which doesn’t seem much at all

  • Why bother when you have GLM 5.0 😎

  • People want less forced AI, but most people are fine with using it whenever they want

    I’m one of them

But then I’m a student and work part time as a dev so I see the population that pretty much uses GenAI the most

  • It’s just a simple DoB input, which can be local afaik

  • Your last benchmarks were made in 2015 or something?

  • Mozilla is kind of a piece of shit company/foundation (it’s still better than most things out there)

    Greedy and stuff, governance problems…

  • Sure it’s great, but man Mozilla won’t get my money, same for Wikimedia

  • That’s nice, congrats for your dedication

  • Unfortunately:

    • outdated packages as hell
    • X11 causes performance issues and low frame rate when having more than 1 monitor
    • KDE is just more sexy but hey, it is what it is
    • all Ubuntu based distros have problem with the new kernel and compatibility problem with virtualbox?
    • outdated stuff, again

Apart from that, yea, works pretty well, I use it on my desktop

What’s nice is that there’s forum posts for a lot of things, but said forum blocks VPNs (fuck that, really) and issues do happen from time to time

I would still probably use Mint as it’s basically one of the best Ubuntu based distros with good support and adoption, that isn’t Ubuntu.

And they’re bringing Wayland support, hurray!

  • That’s really nice! I went ahead and setup Element on all my devices as well, but I’m not as enthusiastic. Most people won’t bother changing. It was a pain to make people move from WhatsApp / iMessage to Signal already

  • The problem is how will you do for most services and websites? They have support on discord for the most part (especially for coding stuff, or games)

  • If you really cared and could delete it without problem, it would have been deleted way earlier, no?

I have a hard time believing people actually do these things.

  • Sure but it’s not all black or white

  • It was just a trans power trip before, heh, at least there’s less of annoying people like Ada or the blahaj sect, who disserve the cause
