Image generators are reverse llms, tbf. Steve Mould has a good explanation of it.
Does nobody get that the original isn't literally fine with burning alive? I've seen multiple "fixes" that are just needlessly spelling out the subtext.
Dude's just handing a lady some spaghetti, y'all. Does he really need to be "on" for that?
I'll look into that. Thanks!
Well he’s gonna have to dig down 2 more feet if he doesn’t wanna be left out with the yellow-spotted lizards.
I mean, for one, that’s the only metric you chose to measure games by, so I’m not sure what else you would expect. Should we reply as if you used an entirely unmentioned metric?
Second, I specifically mentioned “many”, not you in particular. That’s not strawmaning, that’s talking about a general trend.
What interaction is that? I’m unfamiliar.
Why use an edited version? It completely ruins the joke.
I dunno. If someone's building a PC, they are most probably using it for more than just chrome-level stuff. And for me at least, if I'm going to spend the time and money on new components, I'm going to get the biggest and best that I can afford/justify. The higher end comments are going to fair much better as tech develops further along, and I consider them an investment into not going through the same process again in just a few years time.
What's wrong with a nose? :^(
Hah, they actually made it look like an edited comic. That's funny.
Fwiw, everything they posted was from the details left under the video by the creator.
Isn't this why a lot of companies have essentially mandatory vacation for their accountants? Gives a baked in reason to have another set of eyes on the practices of the department.
I mean...recording it is a form of record keeping...
They would still control it more than they did in Netflix, so it's still upside in their eyes.
Not really interested in anything that even remotely mirrors "engagement" driven algorithms seen on other sites. It's predictably resulted in siloing of information and the explosion of "rage-bait" content that's pretty much taken over. Lemmy being different than that is a boon, not a deficit.
Could be worth looking into Misophonia. Basically it's an irrational anger response to specific noises that vary person to person. I don't know enough about it to say how it can be dealt with, but it may be something you could find a specialist for.
I pitty the poor, volunteer admins facing clueless users dealing with downtime. "You said it'd only be an hour! WHAT'S GOING ON!?!?"
I wanted to say that's not what 'anti-hero' means, but I kind of see where you're coming from. In my mind, an anti-hero does terrible stuff to achieve good goals (Deadpool being a prime example), while John McClaine does do some pretty vicious things, but is more or less just trying to survive, not because he wants to do the terrible things.

Dark Souls? A Rogue-Like? What?

This is from the Categories portion of the Steam home page. Flabergasted me and I had to snip it.
Do I just completely misunderstand what a Rogue-Like is?

With Steam's Next Fest over halfway done, what demos have you played and enjoyed most?
I've only gotten through a few, myself. House Flipper 2 seemed like an interesting iteration on the original (from what I played of that). Not necessarily for me, but I think it'll please those that are looking for that. I played quite a bit more Kingdom Eighties than I expected I would. Having just played the first Kingdom for the first time not too long ago, Eighties had a lot of changes that I was pleased with, and the theme is great. I will say that making an army of young children is...a bit iffy, hah. Though playing the "big kids" trying to protect their town is pretty nice.
Still have a The Invincible and Lies of P to check out this weekend, and whatever else seems interesting. Any recommendations for other demos that shouldn't be missed?

Reminder for Set Releases - Don't forget your quests and wins reset with the update on Tuesday!
Make sure to finish your quests* as you will get a 3 brand new ones after the update. Your weekly wins will also reset, so if you need or want the XP for your Mastery Pass, finish them up before then as it won't carry over.
*Worth noting that there is occasionally a glitch where the quests will get "stuck" right before the update, but still award gold. So they can be "completed" over and over again for extra gold. It's happened at least twice so far, afaik (most recently with MOM). Up to you if that's worth saving a quest or two and playing right before the update just in case.

My "solution" for fixing The Ring mechanic in LTR (from a non-game designer)
Problems
Personally I'm pretty unimpressed with the mechanics behind "The Ring Tempts You" in the latest UB set. Lore wise, the One Ring promises great things, but never actually delivers anything other than ruin and the mechanic doesn't deliver on that. While I understand the argument that being a removal magnet is a downside on it's own, I don't really buy into it and at the very least, it's not enough of one on its own. As it stands, The Ring is simply all upside as far as I see it.
Additionally, the allowance of multiple ring-bearers (one for each player at the table) is a huge flavor fail. It's The One Ring, not The "Everyone gets one" Ring. This leads to my resolution of these issues -
Solution
My quick and dirty fix is that the Ring should be a unique effect per game that only one player can hold at a time, and an exchangeable boon like Monarch is, changing sides as the bearer is killed off.
It could still power up like it already does and obviously benefit t
