I would say it’s bad because the only reason low quality products exist from China is because there is a company ordering them, typically American. All of our expensive tech comes from there any you haven’t heard of most of those companies
Okay bud Chinese 99.999999999% of the time refers to Han. If you ask a Chinese person they will say 中国人, Chinese. Yes Han is the proper nomenclature but no Chinese person would make this argument.
What to you use for input?
That’s cool! :) I also started Japanese in 2016 and also fell off in 2019 until 2020! Chinese maybe since 2014. What’s made you fall in love with it? How’s your studying been?
Haha, yes. Used them for ten plus years to study it. Now doing more Japanese but sucking at it. Regardless Pleco is the best language app outside of Anki. No Japanese app can do handwriting like Pleco. If I encounter some old or unclean character in Japanese I still use Pleco
Well they never did it before. Hope that doesn’t start
I would be very very disappointed if they dropped Linux.
Yeah I saw this. But it can’t be kernel level right
Anki on iPhone. Pay one fee and it funds the other users but it’s forever.
Photosync small one time fee but you get an awesome app forever.
Pleco app. Has some add ons but well worth the money and no other fees.
I would fund anything dune related as long is it was written or approved by Frank Herbert. For one I’m sad the movies will stop with book two. Also, the games that came out and are coming out look very boring to me. A game somewhere between Skyrim and assassins creed might be more fun. I’m not a game designer though. I would want it to capture the intense 1 on 1 fights as well as the massive intergalactic political action.
This is how I imagine a post scarcity world. Humans doing things simple because they can and want to explore the challenges, not just to survive.
As a Buddhist if nothing happens after death most problems are solved lol. This is why I always find “secular” Buddhists funny. Either way being compassionate and a source of wisdom to others is important.
Same thing for me. I couldn’t get radical running and baikal was easy :)
That is a fun fact
Bourbon straight and Baijiu also straight
The biggest one I know is French in the Canadian one.
New Lemmy instance, posts are lagging to show up, comments not appearing.
Does the first time federation take forever? I’ve already imported my subs. Thanks!

How can one clearly define someone like Musk or Bezos as bourgeois whereas these hard working individuals who came from nothing and build a huge business actually from nothing and help people?
Hoping for a non-black and white answer. My local MLM group declares everyone evil who isn’t their exact ideology. It doesn’t make sense to apply this thi
How do your ethics apply to non-food items such as shoes and bags?

Is giving your infant as much food as they want within reason, reasonable?

My partner feeds them a fine amount but occasionally I will feed them more as they’re still hungry then they nap for 2-4x longer. Is this potential food comma healthy? They exhibit no unhealthy signs and are happily eating until they refuse food, so they recognize their own fullness
Three Chinese Tofu Frying Techniques, from Chinese Cooking Demystified
Obviously ignore the fish sauce on recipe two. You could use a vegan one or maybe a light soy sauce :)
Recipe three I would use a veggie stock or don't add.
Vegan banana bread that we try to make weekly. Really good!
My favorite, tried-and-true classic vegan banana bread is the best! It's moist, tender, and so easy to make in one bowl—a deliciously healthy snack or light breakfast!
Bonus recipe: vegan whipped cream! very easy!
Vegan whipped cream made with aquafaba. Whipped to a sweet creamy perfection! Freeze and use as you would vegan cool whip.
My fav plantbased pancake recipe
Vegan pancakes are as tasty as non-vegan ones, and we're here to prove it! Made with a blend of basic ingredients like flour, baking powder, and vanilla, these pancakes cook up fluffy and full of fantastic flavor. Simple substitutions like apple cider vinegar and almond milk ensure a vegan-friendly ...
Welcome!
Welcome to this new community. I made this because I want a friendlier vegan space. Those adjacent are welcome such as vegetarian. I don't have goals beyond seeking to form a warm community :)
What's some better vegan/vegetarian/plant based communities that aren't militant and rude?
Ie not vegan@lemmy.world.
Edit: I am going to try to start my own for now here https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/c/plantbased

I feel like the show is actively hurting our imagination of dune.
The voice coming from some made teen not something trained.
Half the sisters being religious zealots when their whole thing is twisting religion for their own goals.
Their need for a computer to organize their breeding program.
What are your family plans for this holiday?

Are people liking the show?
So far it feels like discount dune to me. Can def tell it’s Brian’s writing. The world feels too small too. It’s vaguely interesting to watch but they should have gotten better writers
How do you be aware of major issues in the world and locally without becoming deeply depressed and cynical?
As someone in the US it’s so easy to see so many depressing issues from the ravages of capitalism, to war, imperialism, and genocide. How can one care about these issues and hope for change without allowing themselves to be affected mentally?
I’ve been considering this for the past week, connecting it with Buddhist compassion towards the world and a need for mindfulness. But it’s so easy to fall into emotionlessness.
I’ve also thought through the world has always had issues and though some are getting much worse some are getting better.
I have gone to counseling before but they just make it an individual problem when it’s the world.
Edit: doesn’t have to be US centric. Just I’m writing from that pov
