  • My understanding is the Brownback tax cuts and education cuts were rolled back a while ago and those were what caused a lot of those problems. The current problem is the people who helped implement those cuts in the first place are now in charge of congress with enough of a majority to override a veto (which is what happened with this bill). Unless there’s a really big push to get rid of that super majority and the governor doesn’t also end up being someone who will pass this stuff, probably not much hope no.
