  • I feel like Lost Records: Bloom & Rage that came out recently might be a candidate? I haven't played it myself because I don't think I'm the target audience but it seems like sort of what you're looking for?

  • This is one of the ugliest liveries I've ever seen. It's probably not the literal worst livery in the history of F1 but if you told me it was I'm not sure I'd question it.

  • It's a very entertaining read though. Solid high effort shitposting.

After that, we left the prison with a lot to think about. The bus ride back to my aunt's house was uncomfortable for many reasons, some of them obvious. What was true, what was a lie? Were those people prisoners? Could they leave just as easily as us? Why were we let go? Did I have another pair of pants at my aunt's house? All of these questions burned in my mind, but I could only answer one of them.

    Gold Jerry, gold!

  • I don't know why exactly but my first thought was "gas station attendant uniforms".

  • It was just something I got used to using in Sync and have been missing, but I didn't understand it was that much of a headache. If I understood what it meant I probably wouldn't have asked, sorry. I'm not a programmer at all so I really have no idea whether something is easy or complicated to implement.

  • Vรคldigt spรคnnande! Jag minns snacket om grafen nรคr det upptรคcktes, och hur det framstรคlldes som en slags undermaterial som kan gรถra nรคstan vad som helst i en massa olika sammanhang.

  • From the creators who brought you "we only bought one can of spray paint and this is as far as it got us" as their main livery, we now present:

"We only bought one bucket of paint this time, but made even less of an effort"

  • Heroes of Might and Magic III (but also 4 to a lesser extent and 5 briefly) were mainstays as hot-seat multiplayer when hanging around at somebody's house. Always a good time.

The other real defining game of my childhood was Diablo 2. We played that on and off for probably over a decade growing up, every couple of years people would get the itch again and everybody would tag along. Was a real cultural touchstone in school.

  • Pretty dreadful track all things considered. I know the atmosphere is great and yada-yada and I'm sure the stadium section is a lovely place to be in person but the on track product is consistently terrible. Would be high on my list of tracks to kick off the calendar to be honest.

But anyway, this is Perez to Cadillac confirmed then?

  • I didn't realise it would be so restrictive. That's fair.

  • Yeah I am personally not a fan of the new terminology as it only seems more confusing.

  • The right-wing billionaireโ€™s platform has recently lost about 10 percent of its European user base.

It's a good start but we gotta pump those numbers up.

  • I believe that's no longer a thing and it's all collectively called ADHD these days. At least over here.

  • That dress looks absolutely radiant. Gorgeous as always by Zorn.

  • FF7 was the slam dunk choice because it is not only so iconic, but as the first 3D entry the original is also absolutely god-fucking butt ugly. I can see why FF8 would be logical in a sense, but I'm not sure it has the popularity to capitalise on. It has its charm but it's hardly most people's favourite Final Fantasy. It would be a cool choice though.

I don't necessarily think any of the other entries need remakes as badly. I think FF6 is absolute peak as it is but it would probably be most likely in my opinion. It is also vastly popular and iconic so there is a lot of money to be made there. And I can't deny that even I would be curious to see what it would be like if given the full remake treatment.

  • It does not for me either.

  • I hate jumping on to requests literally hours after you announce you're back, but I have one usability niggle that I rub up against fairly often and is the main day to day issue I have with the app right now.

Is it possible to have a setting for swiping left-to-right to act as the back button on any screen that isn't your home feed?

I often for example go onto my profile to check back to a thread I've commented in previously, but swiping left-to-right doesn't bring you back to your profile, all it does is switch tab in the background so when you hit the back button you end up at your Posts tab on your profile instead.

In general I can't reach the back button with my right thumb, so having this option would let me use the app one handed to a much larger extent, which would be very convenient.

    More feedback and feature requests

    • Swipe gesture actions don't work in the inbox view. I often find myself instinctively swiping to Upvote and/or reply on comments in my inbox, but it doesn't work unless you click through to open the comment thread. Would be convenient to have them work right there in the inbox.
    • Automatically hide the default banner from the header of Subscribed, Local and All feeds. It's nice to have the Post View Header setting on for communities, but the home page feeds doesn't have banners so it's just clutter. Possibly also automatically hide the banner and/or icon for communities that doesn't have a custom one set?
    • Option to have left-to-right swipe act as "back" button on all screens, including menus. Would help using the phone one handed.
    • Option to have "Confirm exit or save draft" dialogue pop up when exiting a post/comment you've typed in but not sent. More convenient than manually saving drafts, doesn't automatically clutter your saved drafts like auto-saving does and still works a

Swiping left-to-right doesn't always take you back

It would be great to at least have an option for swiping left-to-right to work as the "back" button, even in menus.

Currently it only seems to work if you've got a post open. If you for example swipe left-to-right when viewing a community, the left side drawer menu with your subscriptions opens instead.

I personally find the back button a little hard to reach with my right thumb, and having the swipe to go back be consistent helps using the phone one handed.

    List of minor feature requests

    • Option to show user display names, including custom formatting and emojis. Example:

    • Option to show community display name instead of just the adress, example:

    • Option to highlight comments made the past 15 minutes (in lieu of highlighting unread comments, as I understand that's not technically possible)
    • Option for a clearer distinction on who is the OP of a thread. I often don't notice the small icon, and it's useful information to have for context. Some other apps have a colored background behind the username of the OP, which I find helps a lot.
    • Different font colour on the "(X new comments)" on a post to better draw attention to posts with new comments
    • Option to have a different font colour on pinned

Feature Request: Custom font color for pinned posts

The pin icon is a little too subtle for me and since a lot of pinned posts are threads I tend to revisit (like weekly discussion threads) it's nice to have them stand out more in the feed. Sync does this and I always appreciated that feature.

Preseason testing is almost upon us, what technical podcasts do you recommend for performance analysis?

I used to go to BrrrakeF1 (an ex race engineer for Red Bull), and would listen to the Engine Braking podcast for my F1 analysis fix in podcast form because of him. It's been over a year since he's quit content creation by now though, and I'm feeling the void still.

Does anyone else know of a podcast with good technical knowledge? KYLE ENGINEERS is always good for aero analysis at the start of a season, but ideally I want something more regular than that.
