  • You may be conflating this with adding lanes to the freeway which doesn't reduce freeway congestion since it's all rush hour based traffic, but I fail to see how adding more lanes in a city wouldn't reduce congestion for people who live there. If you have 1000 cars they'll fit more densely in 3 lanes than they would in a single lane since they can drive in parallel to the other vehicles.

  • Also not one Star Trek made it here.

Lmao I'm glad I got my answer so I don't have to bother asking. Does DS9 or TNG make the list when you don't filter for general audiences because these are some of the most iconic shows out there even ~30 years after they stopped airing

  • What's bullshit? 4 out of 18 Democratic state senators claimed to support it and 14 out of 36 Democratic state reps claimed to support it.

Only 3 Republican state legislators opposed it so Republicans must have been in favor of it too, right?

  • Compounding deflections from what exactly? You haven't been able to make a single coherent argument or stay on topic once this entire thread. The cherry on top is that you then project onto me the exact behavior that you're engaging in, such as making non sequiturs and deflecting. It's honestly sad but mildly amusing to watch.

You claimed non-voters are to blame for Trump being in office, I prove this claim wrong directly, and blame Democrats for throwing the election with supporting evidence showing Democrats continual support of Trump's policies even now. Instead of responding to or acknowledging any of this or your own previous argument, you derail to talking about Ukraine and that must I support genocide... somehow? You're clearly either off your rocker or intentionally spreading disinformation at this point, which I wouldn't find surprising considering all the other sad attempts at protection you've displayed here.

  • One of my earliest memories was being into Britney Spears. I was young, 10 or so. Dad was never home and I learned to like my own music on my own time without him, and I liked her music. My memory is that I was listening to it in the car, my CD of hers, and then I remember mom and dad arguing, and I don't remember ever seeing that CD again.

Its so funny to see all those guys, who called groups like Nsync and BSB "gay" back in middle school in the '90s, lose their fucking minds and start singing and dancing along when something like "Bye Bye Bye" comes on the jukebox at the bar.

To be honest, I hated boy bands back then too but there's definitely some nostalgia hearing them today.

    Camera card setup

I've got several Amcrest cameras connected through Frigate (running standalone) to HA but I'm not sure how to properly setup the camera card so that the 'thumbnail' shown on the dashboard cards refreshes every so often.

Previously I had them connected directly to HA via the Dahua integration and set the camera streams as both the thumbnail image and as what's displayed when you click the card and this all worked fairly well (the thumbnail would refresh every few minutes) but now after switching to Frigate, the thumbnails have remained static since the day it was initially set up and never refresh and I'm not sure how to fix this.

The cameras are all PoE and connected to an Amcrest NVR which does the main recording while Frigate just sees the substream and uses it for object detection and remote viewing through HA. Clicking the camera cards allows me to view the stream but for whatever reason the thumbnails never refresh.

    Comments not showing?

I'm migrating from lemm.ee and just created an account here but for some reason I'm seeing only a handful to zero comments on sh.itjust.works posts even when they show hundreds of comments.

I'm vaguely familiar with similar federation issues where you might not see old comments if you're the first person to subscribe to a community on a different instance, but I don't understand why I can't see comments on posts from what is now my native instance.

Can anyone clarify what's going on?
