Puss ups

  • I was thinking cock ups, but that strikes me as a call to arms.

  • You absolutely need to have a prop to represent Buddha's heart and mind hanging from your rear view mirror to achieve nirvana?

I'm not a Buddhist, but that don't seem like the path...

  • We also have this regular inspection. Doesn't apply to new cars, the first time is when the car is 4 years old, then every 2 years until 8, then its every year.

There's a nice benefit to it - they keep the history of how many km the car has in total at that point. You can check this when buying a used car to see if anyone fiddled with the odometer, any big changes should be really obvious.

  • And you're the dumb cousin? Damn guess that explains the empire...

  • I wholeheartedly agree that monopolistic practices should be nuked instantly, but I disagree that this was ever well enforced. Microsoft got away with murder in the 90's before they went to court and even then, feels like they got a slap on the wrist...

I think that this particular case is very far from that, but it does start to smell the same.

  • Its illegal to drive with headphones in most of Europe. You can use a one-ear headpiece to make calls, but not full blown headphones.

This, along a bunch of other rules that I'm sure you think are absolutely stupid, are probably why so many Americans die on road accidents when compared to the rest of the world.

  • What the fuck?! Why would you ever drive with headphones?

Driving with headphones is illegal in most, if of not all of Europe, for what I though were rather obvious reasons...

  • You know, I like the design. If I can take a wrench to it and customise it or repair broken stuff easily and for cheap, even better.

The range is kinda meh, but for working in remote sites, bringing a diesel generator is already par for the course, and that bed looks like it fits a lot of stuff.

    No stereo sucks though.

  • Perhaps you should challenge yourself and try different, more... "morally fluid" characters. It will take you out of your comfort zone, but might be surprisingly enjoyable!

  • I think I may have written one too many paragraphs for you to follow, going by how misguided your reply is.

Let me tone it down for ya:

Trump evil pig. Democrats no answer. All should vote other parties.

  • Yep, that a big red flag right there...

  • It would be amazing to just be able to magically cook any recipe vaguely related to your ancestry, but alas, my codfish is always too salty or too bland.

Anyway what a racist jerk. Ask why is his fat ass always at McDonald's.

  • You didnt think that was worth doing when you brought it up, so why would I. You sure put in the effort, 1-line man.

  • Oh I've seen this one! This is where the crowd starts chanting "LOCK HER UP, LOCK HER UP" right?

  • We here for your memes homie.

  • What, how do you expect a kid to play and have fun if you don't get them iPads and all the games and videos imaginable?! You soulless bastard...

/s just in case. Keep it up, you're doing a good job my brother.

  • I'm in the exact same boat, I considered buying a Tesla in a distant past, but the quality issues held me back. Dodged a bullet there, won't touch one with a 10 foot pole to save my life now.

But there's many out there who don't care or have short memories, and the richest man in the world can sure as hell afford all the PR he needs to wash away all the dirt, if he shuts up and goes back to running companies...

My guess is Tesla will have grown their revenue by this time next year. Or you could be right and it goes up in flames, guess we'll find out at some point...

  • You seem to be struggling a bit, so let me help you out: the title does nothing to address the point that euromaida or whatever is not reputable.

    Temporary pull-up during boot (ESP-01)

    Hi everyone!

I'm trying to control a "dumb" led light strip segment with an ESP-01S. This is fairly low current, the strip will pull 150mA-200mA max (depends on... artistic? needs).

I have two NPN transistors (2N2222), one to control the 12V supply to the white "channel" and the other the red+blue (don't need the green).

I had to pull-down the gates as I had some flickering, and it works perfectly if I manually connect the GPIOs after the ESP-01S boots.

The ESP will boot if I have the RX pin (GPIO03) pulled down on boot, but not if I pull down any of the others.

I'm not smart enough to come up with a way to have that extra pin I need to be high only during boot, while the gate it's attached to needs to be pulled down...

Any thought, other than getting something with more IO pins?
