What does "outgovern" mean?
It's always the same story... Essentially those people say that all you need to do is govern better than them. Which is a stupid take because for that to work, they'd have to be in power first - vs you don't want fascists to get power just to prove your point of them not doing it well. You're not going to get that power back.
What's so bad about not engaging with the AfD politically?
One thing doesn't have anything to do with the other. There are laws in Germany that make it very clear where you're allowed to be on the political spectrum. If you're outside of that range, your party is supposed to be dissolved, end of story. Imho, they are way beyond what is allowed, so the constitutional court should decide if they should be allowed to keep working. It's just not a political question, it's a legal question. So it should be answered in courts, not in the parliament.
On another note, I even think that engaging with them politically won't lead anywhere except more publicity for them. And that's not because they're so good at debating but because they're always acting in bad faith. Their goal isn't to fix the system but to destroy it, so every time you give them airtime they'll use that to lure more frustrated people into their hands, just to start using the channels the party owns to get more information, opening themselves up misinformation and lies. It's not an accident that that party uses social media and their own channels to spread their point of view while ignoring or oppressing established media wherever they can. This whole premise turns engagement with them into an argument you can't win, though. If you're defending any part of this system, you're their enemy and they won't use a debate to engage with you but simply to use you as a means to communicate their own goal of tearing it all down. They are not interested in compromise, so unless you agree with their idea of destroying this system as we know it, there's no good outcome in any engagement with them.
God, I missed your "not"... I fucking wrote that on mobile. 😞
The pv panel just provides the electricity to your house. Essentially, if it provides electricity, your devices use that before using the grid. If it provides excess electricity beyond what you use, it feeds back into the grid. There's nothing to it, just plug it in. Just remember that if you disconnect a circuit to work on it, you may also have to disconnect your panels because the wires may still be "hot" (they shouldn't because the PV usually stops providing electricity once it loses the grid frequency, but better safe than sorry).
Randomly came across this in my all-feed. Felt intrigued. Went to the website.
Over 3000 pages? Holy crap. This is an epos. Just read the first two chapters, liked them. But man, even just starting to read this feels like a commitment :D. The author has my deepest respect. I'm beyond impressed, let's see what I got myself into here.
So, like, one person paid for over two years?
Chiming in on this... Installed home energy in Europe. Close to the coast, so rather windy. Rather far to the north, so not that sunny. Home solar usually pays for itself after 6 to 10 years, with installations usually being guaranteed to last 20 and of course usually lasting even longer. Home wind is a niche that doesn't pay for itself within the lifetime of the turbine. You're always better off just installing more solar and more storage unless you're building a 200m high wind power plant that essentially always generates enough energy for a small city. We opted for a solar solution with about 10 kWh storage and an energy management system that charges the battery during the winter when prices are low (usually at night when the large turbines nearby are running). The turbines can't compete with ordinary energy pricing, they sure as hell can't compete with a system that grabs electricity at its cheapest from the grid. It's just not worth it.
Just be constipated at work. Get paid to browse memes.
So you're spewing irrelevant nonsense just to ridicule people who call you out on your irrelevant nonsense by telling them you know it's irrelevant nonsense?
The Xperia compact series were dream devices. 😩
How about "NOW EAT THE SHIT YOU GOT YOURSELF INTO, FUCKERS"?
The alternative would just be loud, frantic laughing.
I really hate that I think this might be an option for me, just because I'd really like a phone with a small screen and flip phone with outside screens that you just leave closed seem to be the only fucking option to get one.
Your point is purely anecdotal. I see lots of Teslas where I live, so there's that. I also see more BEVs than PHEVs, which is also in line with sales figures.
So, to be blunt, I think your perception is skewed or wrong.
Sir, this is a Wendy's the comic strips community.
If he's low masking, how did he just have a chat about that ludicrous display last night?
I'm not interested if Glup Shitto doesn't return.
Motorcycles are the best means to go camping.
When you're travelling, you are outside. Open the visor, breathe in the pine wood air. Unlike a car where you're effectively disconnected from your surroundings, you're much more in them. You can also reach much more secluded places, so you can just go to "that spot" and spend the night there. It's almost as good as bicycles or hiking in that regard but unlike those two, you can also cover distances, spontaneously deciding to just hit the road for a day and sleep 1000 km further south the next night.
Oh look, another Star Wars movie announcement... sigh
Sorry, but after all these announcements that turned out to be vapour, my enthusiasm is kind of limited.
I just explained how they are effectively doing that because a dongle is such a terrible solution that it's essentially not usable. I can repeat my points, from charging over being pulled out, and add that they are either incompatible with some devices that don't supply the analogue audio signal over USB (so you're usually just buying one of those to see if they work, are happy if it does and then annoyed when you need to use it on another device where it doesn't and boom you're suddenly left without working headphones despite having one of those stupid dongles) or come with probably the cheapest, suckishest piece of shit DAC some underpaid Chinese procurement jerk could find anywhere on the market, so the audio quality will probably be terrible even when using wired speakers on a fucking dongle.
Is there a law that prohibits me from trying to keep using wired headphones? No, so you're right there that they're not technically forcing anyone. But in anything but making it technically impossible, they're making it as unusable and unlikeable as possible, so effectively, there's no way around using Bluetooth headphones.
when a better one already existed
Agree with everything, but it's not just that it existed, it's that it was also already widely adopted for literal decades. This was an established solution that is now getting replaced with something worse. This isn't betamax that just lost the adoption race against a competitor.

Reichweite im Winter ist echt wenig.
Ich weiß, ich weiß... Die Winterreifen. Die Heizung. Die Batterie, die bei den Temperaturen ein wenig weniger aufnimmt. Alles in Summe. Vielleicht will ich bei dem miesen Wetter und der Dunkelheit auch schneller zu Hause sein.
Das dachte ich mir alles schon. Kennt man ja. Hab mir deswegen auch die letzten Wochen nichts dabei gedacht.
Und was war's tatsächlich? Bremse hinten fest.

First gameplay videos of star trek into the unknown arrive
YouTube Video

So, the core box has been shipped to known Star Wars Armada content creators, it seems, so the first gameplay reports are dropping, which is nice to see and should help to decide if the game's for you...

Tbh, especially the ship movement seems odd to me. Too many steps involved to get a ship to its next position. The emphasis on story and interaction beyond fighting on the other hand seems very star trek-ish and at first glance well done.

Link Collection for all Things X-Wing TMG
So, there's a page with lots of links for various X-Wing TMG resources... But it's hosted on the FFG forums and with the game being discontinued and having been transferred from FFG to AMG literal years ago, I thought I'd just copy them here. This is, for now, just the copy-pasted link collection. I'll go through them to remove stuff that's no longer online and maybe add stuff I found elsewhere, but right now I'd just like to keep MidWestScrub's links alive in case FFG decides to finally pull the plug on the forum.
This is meant to be an addition to the excellent post @MajorJuggler has kept updated over the years. For that 1.0 thread, click here.

HI! Welcome to my Buying Guide! I'm in the middle of updating this fully for 2023. This introduction page is updated but the faction page...

Yeah, this really helped me to even understand what different editions and factions were and how that's all supposed to work.
