  • im disappointed so many people here dont know the full collective outcry when they say "death to america." It was one of the first things I learned about when I began reading theory. How may people are saying death to america without knowing the full context, or picking and choosing when to show outrage over a line that makes them uncomfortable? Without listening to the voices of the collective outcry?

    The social gendering of sex is how I see my own body as androgynous / masc. I have never really vibed with "female sex" and I have always felt that it was a social determination for me. I don't like the label "afab" either.

  • identifying strongly with no critical engagement to media is a red flag to me. It is important to engage in your hobby of media consumption with a critical mindset, so that you can work through all the themes within. Makima from CSM is an irrideemable loser and groomer, the manga has flaws, and the industry is full of right wingers, yet that doesnt stop people from appreciating that she's a well written villain. And then there are the people who worship her and engage with her aesthetics only.

    Some leftists I have seen like Kylo Ren. But then there are other people who just whole heartedly believe that Jedi are 100 percent a force of good in the world and identify with them 🤔

  • I told my friend I was struggling to play games because playing them alone feels isolating, and it feels difficult to get into games without getting bored quickly. So we decided that I would play darksouls 1, and it's a lot of fun so far! I was really hesitant to try because of g*mers on reddit basically turning the premise of the game into a bootstraps situation, but it's actually pretty cool! I think after playing and beating Hades 1/2 I can really appreciate DS1 :)
