Self-hosted Flatpak Repositories
Hi there self-hosted community.
I hope it's not out of line to cross post this type of question, but I thought that people here might also have some unique advice on this topic. I'm not sure if cross posting immediately after the first post is against lemmy-ediquet or not.

I was curious if anyone has any advice on the following:
I have a home server that is always accessed by my main computer for various reasons. I would love to make it so that my locally hosted Gitea could run actions to build local forks of certain applications, and then, on success, trigger Flatpak to build my local fork(s) of certain programs once a month and host those applications (for local use only) on my home server for other computers on my home network to install. I'm thinking mostly like development branches of certain applications, experimental applications, and miscellaneous GUI applications that I've made but infrequently update and want a
Parkville Station is officially complete!

From Jacinta Allan (Via r/MelbourneTrains on Reddit):
Parkville Station is now complete 🚉
I wanted to jump on here to share the latest Metro Tunnel update: Parkville Station is now complete – so here's a sneak peek of how it looks inside.
Some of my favourite features include this incredible artwork by Patricia Piccinini, the skylights above store fronts, and full-height platform screen gates.
This is the first time we'll have train connections to our education and health precinct in Parkville. You'll be able to hop off the train and walk to Melbourne Uni, or the Royal Melbourne Hospital and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre via a pedestrian underpass.
We know Metro Tunnel is a big change. So from the moment it opens, we'll have specialised 'hypercare' response teams on the ground to make sure it all

The new open ecosystem of extensions on Firefox for Android launched in December with just over 400 extensions. Less than five months later we’ve surpassed 1,000 Firefox for Android extensions. That’s an impressive achievement by this developer community! It’s exciting to see so many developers embrace the opportunity to explore new creative possibilities for mobile browser customization.

Microsoft is starting to enable ads inside the Start menu on Windows 11 for all users. After testing these briefly with Windows Insiders earlier this month, Microsoft has started to distribute update KB5036980 to Windows 11 users this week, which includes “recommendations” for apps from the Microsoft Store in the Start menu.
Luckily you can disable these ads, or “recommendations” as Microsoft calls them. If you’ve installed the latest KB5036980 update then head into Settings > Personalization > Start and turn off the toggle for “Show recommendations for tips, app promotions, and more.” While KB5036980 is optional right now, Microsoft will push this to all Windows 11 machines in the coming weeks.
Microsoft’s move to enable ads in the Windows 11 Start menu follows similar promotional spots in the Windows 10 lock screen and Start menu. Microsoft also started testing ads inside the File Explorer of Windows 11 last year b

It seems possible that Brave are building Brave Pro, which looks like its a subscription based service of some kind. A note on the Android implementation of the project reads (GitHub link):
"Implement the required runtime changes (profile settings, chrome flags, group policies, etc.) with the appropriate values that enable the Brave Pro experience. Using Brave in this mode with its default settings and making changes to the Brave Pro defaults require an active paid subscription.
When the browser has no active credentials for Brave Pro, the panel UI will promote the service and include the initial payment CTA. When credentials are present the panel UI will include the appropriate toggles for making changes to the default settings."
It also links to a private Google Doc.

SGA 2.0 turnovers on 30PPG could become lowest in history
via reddit OP /u/bad_fortuneteller and Stathead:
There have been 67 30 PPG seasons in NBA history. SGA’s 2.0 turnovers per game would be the lowest mark out of any of these, surpassing MJ’s 1995-96 season where he averaged 2.4. The distance between SGA and MJ’s seasons is the same as the difference between MJ and #9, which happens to be SGA last season. SGA is also doing this while leading the league in steals by far and shooting above 50% from the field.
The top 10 is as follows:
- Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, 2023-24, 2.0
- Michael Jordan, 1995-96, 2.4
- T-3. Michael Jordan, 1990-91, 2.5
- T-3. Michael Jordan, 1991-92, 2.5
- T-5. Tracy McGrady, 2002-03, 2.6
- T-5. De’Aaron Fox, 2023-24, 2.6
- T-7. Michael Jordan, 1992-93, 2.7
- T-7. George Gervin, 1981-82, 2.7
- T-9. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, 2022-23, 2.8
- T-9. Dominique Wilkins, 1987-88, 2.8
