Axorax from Windows subreddit has put up a list of free useful apps and I've noticed recommendations for animated wallpapers, so I figured I'd put together a list just for Linux folks:

BORDERLANDS - Review Thread
Reviews:
Hollywood Reporter (30/100):
It’s conceivable that longtime fans of the video game might get more out of Borderlands, but I wouldn’t count on it. At one point, Claptrap returns to operational mode after a heavy-weaponry assault and says, “I blacked out. Did something important happen?” Not in this movie.
Variety (40/100):
Marketed to look like a cross between “Suicide Squad” and a Zack Snyder movie, director Eli Roth’s tamer-than-expected take on “Borderlands” doesn’t have half the attitude or style its cyberpunk ad campaign might suggest. But here’s the real reaso

Hers was a great step forward for Asian-American representation in media. I can only hope that she has and will inspire others to achieve greatness.

Original Title: [Variety] The NBA has not been pleased with their interactions with Warner in the past 2 years. They are dismayed with an exodus of Warner’s top sports executives and its' layoffs of sports staffers to trim costs and reduce debt.
Story in Variety that goes into detail about why the NBA does not want to renew with TNT under the new Warner Bros Discovery. Nothing too surprising, just confirming that the current TNT in the last 2 years under Zaslav is not the same one that the NBA has had a good relationship with since 1989. Between this and Zaslav's infamous 'we don't need the NBA' comments, sounds like even though WBD is still pushing for a 4t

There is apparently an American TV show called Paper Empire which is currently shooting its third season in Saudi Arabia, the first American TV show to film there. Alright, nothing too unusual about that...except that the first and second season have never aired anywhere yet.
This show is created and directed by a man called Robert Gillings who has a couple of prior credits to his name, but nothing major. The story deals with cryptocurrency in some fashion. And it stars:

Index of Review Websites / media
Hi Lemmy,
I'd love to make a list/index of good websites for movie / TV reviews and recommendations with all of your help.
I will keep updating the post and add categories
Most of the things that I watch are US content or a derivative and I feel like I'm missing out. On more curated sites like rogerebert.com there are a is a lot of non-US content which I really like.
Are there more sites like Rogerebert? Is there something like an english Cahiers du Cinema? Is there a rotten tomatoes for Asian or European movies?
Maybe the mods can eventually make a nicer post and pin it.
