What's going on with some person seemingly called "PirateSoftware" and the stop killing games campaign?

Saw people talking in comments at several places now, expressing animosity towards them to say the least, always presented as something that everyone seems to know about.

What do you do if you find a kitten outside at 3 am with a collar?

Edit: I removed the HELP and extra question mark from the end since I've now left it be outside and don't need a advice. I thought the cross post would include the body text from the first post on [email protected] so I guess I accidentally left out all the other pictures and additional info, oops

what do you do if you find a kitten outside at 3 am with a collar?

I was able to build some trust and now it's extremely friendly, I live in an apartment complex with no pet doors in central NC, should I bring it inside and see if it's chipped in the morning? I don't wanna leave it outside if it might have no home, but I don't wanna steal someone's cat

It looks like an adolescent or a late kitten? The collar has nothing on it, it's just a piece of white flexible plastic with a buckle...

Removed the "HELP" since people in the other thread were able to help me figure out that I should leave it be outside

Vercel Slams LaLiga Piracy Blocks as “Unaccountable Internet Censorship”

Since early February, Spain has faced unprecedented yet avoidable nationwide disruption to previously functioning, entirely legitimate online services.

A court order obtained by top-tier football league LaLiga in partnership with telecommunications giant Telefonica, authorized ISP-level blocking across all major ISPs to prevent public access to pirate IPTV services and websites.

In the first instance, controversy centered on Cloudflare, where shared IP addresses were blocked by local ISPs when pirates were detected using them, regardless of the legitimate Cloudflare customers using them too.

When legal action by Cloudflare failed, in part due to a [judge’s insistence](https://torrentfreak.com/judge-confirms-laligas-right-to-block-cloudflare-in-purs

so what happens if estradiol enanthate is exposed to light?

the label and the manufacturer of my een say not to expose it to light. what happens if it is? last week i did my injection, but forgot about the warning and was holding it up near my bathroom light while i drew the needle. is it still safe/effective? tonight's my next shot, probably should have asked sooner :P

edit: only realized my mistake after finishing the injection and noticing the label had turned red

edit 2: pic of the label bein red

edit 3: got a pretty quick reply from the manufacturer. label turning red/black is normal actually, from heat/moisture, which makes sense. also according to the manufacturer, the e is slightly pink: normal for mct oil when exposed to light, but as long as it doesn't get worse it should be fine.

Shotgun question

I cued up the vid to the part where he says roughly...

"Bond shotguns are used by the military for breeching doors... They have a special round for it."

Does he actually say "bond shotguns"? What's the term? Google doesn't know what a "bond shotgun" is.

Why does aperture affect depth of field / zone of sharpness?

Less light means more focus? What's going on?

Most customizable desktop environment?

Edit: Yep KDE is the most customizable full desktop environment. I gave Gnome a shot but like KDE A lot more with desktop effects and kwin scripts.

What makes Linux appealing to me is the extent of customizability, but I didn't find many answers when looking up with desktop environment is them most customizable. Some say KDE is most customizable than say, Gnome, but doesn't Gnome support CSS customization while KDE doesn't?

How can I use local LLM in the firefox AI chatbot

Today I saw the AI chatbot in the sidebar for the first time (I remember turning the setting of in the Labs settings, but they turned it on IG). Looking the options, it supports a number of models, but all of them seems to be on a remote servers. Is there any way to use an LLM run on my own machine?

Any open source host solution for private users?

Situation: we live in europe, there's PRISM and Privacy Shield and all that, to which selfhosting is the solution. Now, my sister, mostly on Apple, got concerned with all the hacks and privacy violations over the years. She's a tech noob, so i can't really recommend her prism-break.org

There's a bunch of hosted solutions geared towards small to medium business, like Univention Corporate Server, NethServer, etc.

Are there similiar bundles for private use, basically Apple cloud alternative? With services like cloud storage, cloud office, media share, maybe chat, videocall?

Or should i let her wait until i got my box up, VPN her over? I'm only semi-professional tho.

Installation question - Storage Expansion Card required?

Hi, I was thinking of getting a Framework 13 and putting Linux on it.

So I was looking at the Ubuntu installation instructions and it says a "Storage Expansion Card" is required to install. I click "view" to see what that is, and the item page says it's a 250GB Type. The URL provided goes to a dead link, but I think that means a "250GB (2nd Gen) Storage Expansion Card" for $45 on the configuration page. I've installed Ubuntu before, but I just used a plain USB stick, and the instructions aren't clear on whether that's enough or whether I need to use their specific drive for some reason.

So my question is: when I'm configuring a Framework 13, do I need to add a 250GB expansion card, or can I just use a USB stick that I already have (to install Ubuntu)? Thanks.

Do we have a setting to block posts that contain keywords yet?

Hi!

I know that this question was asked several months ago, and the response was that there wasn't a setting for it. Has a setting that blocks posts with keywords been implemented since?

Thanks in advance!
