Well now that FRL is officially cancelled I suppose I should find something to do this weekend...
- Aww man. We were probably going to head up to that... Council forced organisers to cancel apparently? Any idea why?
  
  Given how close it is to the creek and how flat the land is, council probably wants a good flood plan in place in case it rains. Wangaratta is a known flood prone area.
  
  I thought it may have been due to crazy weather but besides it probably being muddy from this week it looks fine

  City of Wangaratta has not been able to obtain satisfactory event documentation including an emergency management plan to ensure the health and safety of attendees at the planned festival in December.
  
  I feel like you shouldn't be allowed to sell tickets to an event until it's approved to go ahead...
  
  It could be worse. I was reading yesterday about a three year cruise that was cancelled at the last minute because the organisers did not actually have a ship.
  
  You'd think that might be Step 1 of organising a cruise lol

- Oh damn.. I just looked into what this is and listened to some of the groups in the lineup and that seems like a good vibe. I might keep a note of this one. Sorry to hear it's cancelled :(
  
  It's been running for over 15 years but it seems like Council and this new cop in Wangaratta decided to shut the whole thing down less than a month out. It's been chaotic with the emails and backchat. The organisers are famously disorganised and prone to magical thinking as well though haha. At least all the money has been refunded
